My Doc gave me the extended Release Ultram. I took the first one last night and it worked awesome. This morning I am really shakey and nausious. I just want to know if anyone else experienced this and if it goes away after a few days of taking the med?

Ultram never made me nauseas, but it did give me a terrible headache for the first four days.

If the Ultram makes you to nauseas I would call the doc, but if you can tolerate it, I would just stay on it for a few more days and see if it passes.

I was just wondering if you are on Effexor XR or/ Wellbutrin and /or Amytriptaline? The reason that I am asking is because I was on all of them and I had a very bad experience. I came to find out that you are not to mix ultram with any of those pills. I looked it up in my medical book and then I confronted my docs about it.

If you are on any other drugs that work with your serotonin levels this can be very dangerous. I was on too many pills and ended up in the hospital because of serotonin syndrome. My psychiatrist will no longer give me Ultram.

I never had a problem with the Ultram, but was not taking the extended release. My doctor took me off of the Ultram when he put me on an antidepressant as there can be serious sie effects when taken with some other meds. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor.

I trusted my doctor, my pharmacist and my counselor and I ended up having a seizure. About 5 weeks ago I had a seizure and even my doctor did not connect them. I had to see a different doctor for him to say that that is what caused it. My doctor said that it was because of the pain and my brain could not handle it. When I did go and tell my doctor he acted like it was no big deal. So I wanted to make sure that the word got out there about mixing ultram with anti-depressants.

I know you also shouldnt take it with celexa. As long as you go to the same pharmacy every time any conflicts with meds should be told to you by the pharmisist. It should be red flaged. At least it was at target when I was still in the pharmacy a couple of months ago.

I do not know if you all are still on this conversation, but I know that my pharmacists do not keep me informed about the mix and neither does my doctor. I had gone out and bought a pres. drug book to get more informed about the meds they were putting me on. So I did my own investigations. I hope that you will find the right pain pill for you.

YES, ultram made me sick to my stomach at first. Two things I have to consider when I take it, am I tired? and have I eaten? If I have slept well and eaten it doesn't bother me. If not I get sick. Go figure. But it has helped me tremendously.
