I am new here, but just so you know. I have tried a lot of different meds (way too many)! I would never, ever take Ultram again. I am not sure exactly what it did to me, but NEVER AGAIN! I always try to trust my body. It knows better than we do, if something is not right!

It appears that irritability is a fairly common side effect of Ultram/Tramadol. I would suggest mentioning it to your doctor and simply state that you are overly irritable, angry, fighting with b/f.

http://www.medicinenet.com/tramadol-oral/article.htm

SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause dizziness, weakness, incoordination, nausea or vomiting, stomach upset, constipation, headache, drowsiness, anxiety, irritability, dry mouth, or increased sweating. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these serious effects while taking this medication: chest pain, rapid heart rate, skin rash or itching, mental confusion, disorientation, seizures, tingling of the hands or feet, trouble breathing. In the unlikely event you have a serious allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

1 "CNS Stimulation" is a composite of nervousness, anxiety, agitation, tremor, spasticity, euphoria, emotional lability and hallucinations. Incidence 1% to less than 5%, possibly causally related: the following lists adverse reactions that occurred with an incidence of 1% to less than 5% in clinical trials, and for which the possibility of a causal relationship with ULTRAM exists.

I have had some of the milder side effects of Ultram but when I wasfirst diagnosed, the dr at the pain clinic put me on Norco, anarcotic and boom it didn't help except to get me addicted really fast. Not to mention being higher than a kite at work.They all laughed at me when I somehow mixed up all the lab slips and models for dentures, except they had to go back through and fix everything.Then the joke was on them! They also put me on high doses of Effexor. Can we say Zombie? I had no feelings or emotions. Didn't cry except for pain. Thats when I stopped all meds and quit my job. 9months later we were losing everything including our home bcause hubby was out of work too. Iwent to my doc and she gave me Ultram and Cymbalta. I made it through 9 months of work and couln't go any longer.Hope you feel better soon

Ultram made my face feel like it was on fire and my face itched terribly. It did nothing for pain. So far I have not found any pain medication that helps me so I just try to "grin and bear it" and put on a good face when others are around. When I am alone I cry to my dogs and they lick my tears away, lol.

It's a good idea to call your doctor. I've been on ultram forever and the only side affects I had were dry mouth, grogginess at first and sometimes a headache but I don't have any of that now.

Like LibraJo said I know prednisone can make people act weird. My cousin who was on it said it made him very paranoid. (He's been married 25 years but thought his wife was cheating on him and she never gave him reason to feel that way.) He has connective tissue disease- kind of a mix of lupus and RA and at one point flushed all his drugs down the toliet because of how they were making him feel emotionally.

Maybe it's the mix of the ultram and the steriod??? I've been on ultram and flexril forever and with my new coverage the mail order pharmacy told my doctor he was apprehensive to give me both because I guess some people have seizures taking both those meds. That's never been a problem for me so they still give them to me with my doctor's ok.

All I can remember is some spacey feelings on ultram way back when.

I'm starting to feel much better now that I have been off the Tramadol since Tuesday! I know if I say the med was making me irritable she will chalk it up to depression. I am a woman after all.

I had some pretty nasty effects with Ultram & it's generic tramadol as well. Moody, couldn't walk straight lightheaded, extreme bitchiness. I got off that one quick!

Hope you find something to help Cadbury. (You remind me of Cadbury Easter Eggs Mmmmmm) It sucks when you aren't getting relief and also help with the house. I'd help ya, but hey, then there would be 2 of us and STILL no house work done. LOL (But we could laugh, joke or boo hoo together!

Pamela {please}

I wish tons of love and hugs!
