Hi Fromama,

It looked to me to be legit at first glance. It looks like they really like Suboxone which is working so well for so many members of our group. The Guai protocol is well-known and I think it's Stella who is on this. They've modified it though somewhat.

All in all it LOOKS legit and that they believe in trying many different protocols looking to provide relief. You might want to call them first to see if they'll bill your insurance. Some clinics won't. It also looks like they won't take you unless you have a PCPs referral, so you will still need a PCP in your area for non fibro stuff and to write the referral. The docs in the area should know more about them and if they're legit or not.

Good luck and I'm glad you're investigating this closely!

Fromama!! I just found the doctor's name who is associated with this clinic and I googled it. His license was yanked in NY in 2004 for something that requires him to ALWAYS have a female staff member in attendence when seeing patients.

Here's the legal papers I found:

http://w3.health.state.ny.us/opmc/factions.nsf/0/ bb619aedcc30f910852570dc006605f0/$FILE/lc168731.pdf

Check it out before you call them!!! --- TG for Google!!!

I saw his name on one of the links on the left side of their website. I just googled him and the first link was the pain center and the second lead to his court documents from NY.

I'm glad I could help! It really freaked me out because I'd already said the clinic looked legit......I'm so glad I took a second look! Close call!

Rayne always seems to be so good at looking stuff up for us, and she tends to have better luck than I do for some odd reason! We knew there was a reason we kept you around Wink

It might be because my last job I worked researching mostly on the net for weird books that academic libraries wanted. I loved the job and I love doing internet research. I love research Smile

Hi peoples,

It is fromama up late, again.

And, having had myself some productive anger over our mutual condition/s today, I decided that I am gonna holler at our friend Oprah, and convince her/her peeps that she should do a show about FMS/CFS, stigma, insurance issues, the med. community, dea,fda...pharmaceutical co.

all the crap. I'll be on there and get her on the warpath, too! Isn't she the "go to girl" for getting at least some folks out there thinkin' and doin'?

And, no, I'm not having a mood swing right now.

I guess I will try to find out if she has had a show about that yet or not.

Maybe if enough people push it online,it would happen.

Well, it couldn't hurt.

At least maybe make people get pissed enough to start making hell for/about the doc/stigma/,etc., meds, yaddayaddayadda...

Okay, I'm gonna go call her now. I mean, email her.

Nitey nite, folks.

I'm gonna be on Oprah, now.
