I'm getting very depressed these days. I have to take at least 3 7.5/500 Lortabs per day for the Fibro pain. The side effect I'm now experiencing is the sugar cravings and even if I don't succumb to a candy bar and work through the hunger feelings, I feel bloated and heavy. I've gained at least 20 pounds in the last 6 months, and I usually have to make myself eat. I have no appetite. My doctor says I don't eat enough....so why am I gaining all this weight??? In the year 2000, I was diagnosed with epilepsy and began taking a medication with the side effect of taking away my appetite. I lost over 80 pounds. I kept it off until just recently. I have noticed that when I have a few 'good' days in a row and take less of the Lortab, I begin to lose weight immediately. What is going on? Does anyone have a similar situation or experience? At this point, I am seriously considering NutriSystem. The extra weight is making me so clumsy that this morning, I knocked over a glass of tea onto my new laptop (not this one of course) and it 'died'. I keep bumping into things, too. Any suggestions?

i find that i have water weight gain with some of the meds. i have to be careful, and my doc keeps track of my weight. i would to be on the safe side talk to the doctor about it. i also find nothing wrong with the occasional chocolate binge but within reason because it is suddenly to hard to work it off.

good luck.

also, if you're not eating much, maybe your body is starting to go into starvation mode and save all of the fat it has?
