I take both cymbalta and lyrica. I have no problems with either unless I forget to take one. Then I have withdrawls.

Nina80- wellbutrin can make you anxious.

I take Lyrica, I tried Cymbalta but I had a bad reaction to it. I got a really bad headache and shaking with chills. It felt like a bad casee of the flu or something like that. I tried wellbutrin and I cant tolerate that one either, I got seizures from it, that is one of the severe side effects from wellbutrin.

I can only take 200 mg of Lyrica, my doctors want me to take 400-450 mg . I can not take Lyrica during the day, it makes me feel spaced out and my concentration is terrible.

I dont know what to suggest about Ultram, I took it years ago for back pain. I would ask the doctor becuse of taking Cymbalta and Lyrica. I have been thinking about asking the doctor for Ultram. I found that Vicodin helps me with the pain. I just had surgery 2 days ago and I am going through a flare up and the vicodin is helping with the pain.

if you want to talk more about your fibromyalgia, you can send me an email at: rassierussell@comcast.net.

I reply to everyone who writes to me. I am working on setting up a fibromyalgia support group in my area where I live and one online. I hope to hear from you.

sorry to hear it isnt working well for you. I understand your frustration. Lyrica doesnt work for me as well as it does for others. I know how depressing it is, I had high hopes that Cymbalta would work for me, but I cant take it, too many side effects.

Give Lyrica a little more time to see if it at least takes the edge off of the pain you are having. if you want to talk, just email me at:rassierussell@comcast.net

I was diagnosed in April with Fibro by my GP .

My first months' Lyrica was 50mg and the first few days were weird taking it. With time the pain eased some (except in my shoulders, base of my neck and upper back.) The only side effect I had from the Lyrica was spaciness and some very minor dizzy spells in the mid-mornings for about a week.

Two weeks later , I saw the Neuro . He agreed with GP; gave me a shot in each lower neck/upper shoulder region and said ""see me in 6 weeks"".

Now dr. has upped my dosage (starting tomorrow) to 75mg 2X daily. I m hoping for no side effects but at least I know a little bit about what to expect.

Will have been on the higher dose of Lyrica 2 weeks by time see Neuro again.

My worst pain is still lower back, neck area . Everything else is bearable !!!

I take Lyrica and Lexapro. I do feel like I'm in a fog all day, but I'd rather be "spaced out" than feeling pain.

I have been taking 200 mg of Lyrica, I have not seen the miracle that this drug is supposed to perform. Some days it helps to take the edge off the pain and there are days it doesnt work at all.

Since there are alot of side effect I generally tell people if you are getting some benfit from the medicine, maybe it is worth while taking. I have continued taking Lyrica because I get a little relief, but I am still in pain. My worst pain in in my back and shoulder.

For everyone who is taking Lyrica and have seen no improvement in a few weeks, I would not continue taking it because of all the side effects. The worst side effects being swelling and excessive weight

gain.
