I thought I had restless leg syndrome, the burning and spasms, deep muscle pain etc worse at night. My pain doctor treated me for nerve pain with CYMBALTA. Please, please ask your doctor. I only take it at bedtime, I can't describe the relief it gives me. I so much hope this treatment could help one of you. Good luck

Thanks for the info BJK...

It's things like this that we need to hear so that we too can try to get some relief...some way, some how! I tell ya, this leg crap is for the BIRDS!!! (no, I wouldn't even want birds to have to have it)!

Thanks again for sharing~

I took the Cymbalta for a month. I had to discontinue Effexor XR before I started it. The Cymbalta does not work for me the way the Effexor does. I was cranky and in tears a lot. I will say it did help my pain but I felt that I was walking around in a deeper daze (worse than Fibro Fog) and it affected my speech. It was hard to form sentences. I have frequently had weird reactions/side effects from new medications.
My disabling chronic illness is more real than your imaginary medical expertise.

I also take Cymbalta at night. I started out taking the medication (slipped my mind) for restless leg as well then my Pdr switched me to Cymbalta and now I only have to take that at night. No more restless leg. Don't get me wrong I still have other pain and problems but not RLS.

I had tried Mirapex and ot worked but I felt awful. I recently was told to try a calcium/magnesium supplement and I am gettin relief and I sleep better. It took a little time to work, but Iwould rather be on vitamins than a heavy drug. Also there is research being done on RLS and iron deficiency as well as B12.
