ok this may sound strange but has anyone had the fibro bother the front of their neck. i can feel the knot and the tenderness, but i can't get any relief from it and when i try to rest it feels even worse. i feel like it is strangling me, iknow it is not, and it causes me to get panic attacks at times. anyone know what will help calm it down. i know these knots move and i have had them in some strange places but this one is really bugging me alot and does not seem to want to go to a new location. any suggestions.

I think I might know what you are talking about. Does it feel kinda like a "lump in your throat"?? Or is it actually like on the outside of the front?

kinda, it feels like the knots i get in my legs and arms, them i rub but this is right in front. really bugging me, it is not real sore but the spot it is in is just uncomfortable. if fact i was trying the heating pad on it as i am typing. it seems to help until i take it off. i tried ice pack and that did not help either. it makes me feel panicy since i feel like it is strangling me, even though i know it isn't

Hmmm...I sometimes feel like I have a lump in my throat and it feels like I can't breath or swallow, but not on the outside that hurts! How long has it been there?

i just had it a couple of days. it is not on the outside. i have knots that hurt alot more. i don't know just how to describe it. and i can't find away to ease the feeling. usually when i rub my knots they will ease up (usually on their terms) but this one is right in front so i really can not rub it, it is really tight feeling. the heating pad helps if i leave it there but as soon as i take it down it stops helping.

Sounds like Mayofascial Trigger Points to me. Something called called chronic mayofascial pain is a syndrome that many but not all fibro folks get. to break up the lumps you need to find a bodyworker who practices Mayofascial trigger point release. The good news is that CMP can be treated & thelumps broken up

Maybe you could rub it out! Let the heat from the pad relax it a bit first?!?! Sounds painful, I wish you the best with it. Gosh...it's always SUMTHIN, huh?!?! Let me know how it goes...

Hey everyone...I finally slept a full night! ~Yeah~ (even though I didn't fall asleep till after 11 and was awake at 6) **lol** Still, didn't wake up ONCE!!

Hey deverin, how's your neck? I hope lots better! I'm gonna research Mayofascial Trigger Points so I can learn something today.

How's everyone doing?? It's pretty quiet around here!
