anyone taking cymbalta and lyrica?i'm having some trouble with it and wondered if it was common.i'm getting some headaches that wipe me out for the day.i'm only on 30mgs of cymbalta and the doctor called me and told me to increase my lyrica to 50mgs 4 times a day.now i still feel the pain but i also feel numbness in my face and my hands feel strange hard to describe.kinda stiff and like i'm slow to react.am i taking it at the wrong times?this has me confused and not good when i need to go to work.

I take Lyrica 150 mgs and Cymbalta 60 mgs at dinner time. When I first started taking Lyrica I felt the strange numbness you mentioned, but it subsided after about a month. It still makes me feel weird...a little loopy. Now that you mention it, my headaches did start around the same time I started taking Cymbalta. (I was already taking Lyrica.) I thought it was just another fibro symptom.

OK...I had the stiff clumsy hands and the headache while I was taking Lyrica. I stopped taking it about a week ago. All my FMS symptoms are way better now that I'm off Lyrica -- and I'm about 11 days or so into withdrawing from Effexor and I'm feeling a lot better than I did a week ago. I think Lyrica was bothering a lot more than my vision and my hands and feet! I never had RLS before I started taking Lyrica either. Maybe this is the devil's drug.

I'm getting tired of being my doctor's guinea pig--I don't think she's aware of any of the weirder side effects of some of these drugs and she always doubts me when I tell her about side effects I'm experiencing...she said that only 4% of people get the blurred vision so she didn't believe I had it and that I just needed to get my glasses rx filled. Did, I'm still blurry in both eyes.

What's worse, FMS or the drugs?

I take 150 mgs of Lyrica all at once around dinner time. It relieved some of my pain within 2 hours of taking it the first time. You should probably talk to your doctor about the possibility of taking a higher dose at night. See how that goes. At least you wouldn't feel loopy during the day. As you can see, some members can't take Lyrica due to the side effects...Definitely talk to your doctor.

I just started taking Lyrica two days ago, twice a day. So far, it just makes me sleepy and somewhat "loopy!" Will that eventually go away as my body gets used to it? Since starting it, I've had a little back pain, but my neck is doing well!! I sure hope it doesn't make me gain weight -- I can't afford to! I'm sure sleeping better at night, though, since starting it! Good luck & hugs to everyone out there taking it to try to get through their days!!
