Thank you ~ I will. I am finding that my 12 y/o knows MUCH more than I realized. She is starting to challenge me in ways that I didn't think possible. I guess I sometimes still look at her as if she is my little girl even though she is almost as tall as me. Every day we talk about our "highs" and "lows". We say what was our high or low & explain why. Then we can also discuss if there is anything we can do to change our lows to make them a high. Sometimes we can, sometimes we can't. It's a good lesson in life ~ we can't always control things. I think I will try to be more open with them about mine - not to get pity but maybe more understanding. |
