I'm on every 3rd day now. I can't take another pill until Wednesday & I was about ready to go out my mind this morning.

I've been up since about 3:30, fell back to sleep off & on in the recliner till around 7:00. My brain was Zapping so bad I literally could not move. I could not get out of the chair, I wanted to call for help & nothing would come out - I don't know maybe at that point I was dreaming. I'll keep hanging in there.

Oh, the saying goes: "Things happen for a reason"

I was suppose to take my father-in-law for his eye surgery today, it's only 5 or 10 minutes from the house, so I could manage that. Well yesterday they called him to cancel for today due to an emergency.

Thank God for small favors - Nobody wants me on the road today

It's amazing that those little favors come just when we need them. I hope you are able to take care of yourself during this transition. How much longer will you be tapering off? I wish I could be there to help you. We could watch chick flicks together and take cat naps between movies. Hoping you feel better really soon. Keep me updated!

I took my last Cymbalta on Friday, I'll have to admit I have been quite a B####! to live with

I need to take my son back to college today, short drive but I'm having the zaps, especially every time I turn my head. So I took a 0.25 xanax & I needed to take a darvocet for the pain because I had a headache & my left arm is still killing me. I made sure I ate something since I had taken quite a bit of meds already.

On the way home (I take this road all the time) I blew a stop sign I saw it but I don't know where my head was. I slammed the brake & then hydroplaned. God was watching over me again & it's a 3 way stop & nobody ever comes out that dead end street anyway.

Well, I'm staying put, no more driving for me today.

I forgot to mention that I'm still having strange dreams & still singing in my sleep. My hubby said I was singing "the Bunny Hop" Saturday night, I know Easter is coming up soon but geez, what the heck is going on. Good thing I go to see the "weatherman" this week - you know my Psychiatrist

Glad to see you're doing okay getting off the cymabalta, Librajo. I also quit taking it recently, but I did it cold turkey. I figured the withdrawal effects couldn't be worse than the effects that I was having. And I was right. It worked out okay for me. Everyday has been a little better. It's been about a month now. I still get zaps and buzzing occasionally. Hope that ends soon too. Would you believe my doctor did not believe in any withdrawal symptoms or had never heard of brain zaps or anything like that! I was amazed. I know it has something to do with his stake in cymbalta. He once told me he helped develop it, so I'm sure he has money in it. Especially since he kept trying to up the dosage. He was angry that I stopped taking it. He said it had nothing to do with my symptoms. But I already knew he was wrong, because they were already going away by the time I saw him. I'm probably going to look for a new doctor. I start a Fibro Pain Management Class soon. I'm hoping to meet some people there and maybe get a referral to another doctor. Well, I better get back to work.....

I'm sorry I've been off work for several days now and that is where I have the internet. I take 60 mg of Cymbalta. I guess I have missed the discussions on Cymbalta. Why are ya'll going off of them? As far as I know I don't have any problems with it. I guess. And if you are no longer taking the Cymbalta, are you replacing it with anything? Kathy

LibraJo- so sorry this tapering is so bad. As far as singing in your sleep- I know I talk in my sleep all the time- my husband tells me. I don't recall it at all. I've woken him up yelling "Hey" really loud. LOL- and I've said "no no no no"- Like I am telling my cats to stop something.

The kicker is- you guys will love this one- once I guess I was playing guitar in my sleep-LOL- I DO play the guitar. I was taking a nap on the couch and my husband was sitting next to me and I guess I just put both my arms up and it looked like I was playing.

Well at least he got a good laugh about that one!!!!

That's funny - did he get a picture of you? My kids would have done that to me. It's neat that you play the guitar, I was never musically inclined, so I can only imagine what I sound like when I'm doing this singing thing...
