i have said it before here... isn't this the UNITED STATES? key word united? why is it ok in some of our fair nation's states and not all?

i no longer have a rhuemy, but will check with my dr. when i did have one, he tried me on a couple of things, one made my stomach ache like pain ache, and the other made me nauseated. but it was like, 3 years ago, so i will def. write those down, thank you angel, you are the sweetest thing.

i am out for a bit, have some fam. stuff to do.

You know, I'm happy for anyone who finds relief from this intractable pain, but it just kills me when I read that some people have compassionate doctors who will prescribe them Fentanyl patches, when the most I've ever gotten was some methocarbamol and a directive to lose weight. Oh, and suck it up, you're just going to have to learn to live with it.

I wonder sometimes if it's just the state that I live in, that the doctors are so conservative with opiate medication.

sorry for the o/t. I find herb to be really helpful pain-wise, but it makes me anxious, so it's kindof a wash.

I get angry when doctors say crap like this. Maybe recite this paragraph from the "Hippocratic Oath" they all swore to:

I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug.

Life is like a sewer. What you get out of it depends on what you put into it. - Tom Lehrer

I think something that helped me was having a government approved print-out for the treatment of Fibro that I was directed to by BShapiro *saulte to you* I think it made him see that it was alright to treat me that way when nothing else Had worked for me, and I really think it helped me to have that with me when I went in. If you're interested in having the printout, PM BShapiro about it, I really think it helps

Here are the states that recognize medical marijuana:

Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Montano, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. These are the one's that I know of. Of course Pennsylvania is not on that list, where I live!

Weel all i havr to say is im glad noone aroud me does use recreational or for medical though i do believe that it does help many people who really need it. I for one am allergic to it and found that out the hard way. Thinking if im not doing it no big deal WRONG. I walked by a group of people at a fair and next thing i know is that someone i dont know blows a HUGE cloud in my face and that was that. ended up in the hospital with convultions. scared to even have someone near me now who even remotely smells like it. they dont have to be smoking it just the smells on there clothes.

Sorry for the rant

Best of Luck to you guys

Uh, quick question, I um, too have seen the benefits of MM after influence from friends/family that USE(not abuse) for medical reasons, but after my next couple of initial neurological tests, I will be applying for disability, my FMS doc says if he could get me back to work EVER ha'e sell his practice and move to a tropical paradise But he's told me if I were to put that down on paper trying to get disability would pretty much be a joke, anyone know of anyone that has gotten SSDI and is a self medicator? Any tips for trying for Disability with/orw/out MM? Curious and wanting to help support hubby's income , we are sooo struggling right now!!!
