There are various ways to bake marijuana. My friends make a great spice cake with frosting or a great double chocolate cake. It does last a long time, kind of similar to that of an extended release pill. I don't like the mental confusion of it either. I lost my truck in a parking lot once after shopping in one store, forgot my purse in the shoe section, and really got anxious to get off the stuff. I would only ever do it again if I was just planning on veggin in the house, but I think that defeats the purpose of being able to function...at least for me. I don't discredit anyone for doing anything that gives them relief for an hour or two b/c sometimes that's all we want as people with FM that suffer everyday of our lives. So, by all means, try it if you want to and are worried about the side effects to your lungs from smoking it. Others are right, there are excellent ways of "cooking" it, including baking great cakes or brownies!

I'm buying a vaporizer .....they say it gets 3-4x's more use out of the herb than smoking so given the price of marijuana it seems worth while & easy on the lungs which is why I'm looking; just harvested my crop of licensed MMJ for the year so money to buy it isn't an issue (love the 3 inch roaches this time of year).

I'm ok with eating it ( made a big pan of brownies this weekend) but it's kinda wasteful compared to smoking or vaporizing it.

It's all about the length of time that you want the effects of MMJ to last. Eating it allows for a longer time period since your body is continually digesting more and more of the food. So, as time passes more is released. Smoking/vaporizing it may give you a shorter time period of relief in comparison to eating it...so, I guess it's all how you look at it whether eating it is so wasteful if you get a longer time period of effectiveness. Just from my own personal experiences that is.

I havent tried eating it. I smoke it in a pipe. I only do it if i know im not driving for the rest of the day. To me, my pain is so intense, that i would give ANYTHING for even 30 minutes of no pain. I get about an hour of no pain, and another hour of not caring about the little pain i have. so that is my time to veg on the couch, and catch up on my food consumption. I tend to not when i am feeling bad, so i try to keep microwave ready food around. im not alowed to use any other appliances when i am smoking, so microwave food is a must.

I think the party should be at Mr. Shapiro's house! I was told to grind it up into capsules and I haven't done it. I've gotten really depressed the two times I used it this year and I'm already at a dangerous level of depression. Anybody else get depressed from using it?

what other nine states have it legal, if you don't mind me asking?? It should actually help with mood stabilization and endorphins--that's why I think it helps w/fibro pain. I'm w/you on the moving part, if only my dh would.....*sigh*
