MDJunction to me

grandmasylvia"MDJ has been "a soft place to fall" for me as Dr Phil says. I have this very painful rare disease Dercum's Disease and take comfort in finding others here who share their knowledge and compassion. Many
members have helped me just by understanding my anguish and validating
my pain. We are working together to encourage research toward a cure.

Along with my GF's cocktail of meds, she's also treated to a full body massage at bedtime when she's not to sore that is, it's a great bonding experience very intimate if you get my meaning,& most of all it relaxes her,& I don't mind either LOL.Smile Try it if you & your significant other are up to it, you won't regret itWink!

We've had a lot of discussions about sex and how it can relieve the pain of Fibro (gotta love those endorphins). IF you can stand the pain of having it! Personally, sex hurts for me, but I'm lucky in that my husband has as little sex drive as I do these days.

But a full body massage! That would feel good!

And just for the record, I'm not talking about sex, I'm talking about the full body massage being intimate in itself.

It was the "if you get my meaning" comment that confused me.

Yes, it can be very intimate, and a special time, as we hurt so much, so many times, we just don't want to be touched... yet at the same time, we crave that human contact to know we're not alone and that someone cares.

It can be very emotionally trying.
