MDJunction to me

jayna01"My name is Jayna and I wanted to take this opportunity to say how much MDJunction has meant to me. I always felt so alone before I joined in April of 2012. I felt like there wasn't anyone that really cared about me and what I was going through. I felt like there was no one that would truly listen to me in what I was feeling. Nobody was there for me. That is before I found MDJ!

I have found and met such good people on these forums. I never ever knew there were such compassionate people before MDJ. It's also nice to know that I can come here anytime and get support for what I am feeling. I feel like I have met some wonderful life long friends. It is also an outlet for me to try and help other people that are hurting. It gives me a good feeling inside and gives me self confidence in helping other people.

I hope MDJ will be as good for you as it has been for me! Many Blessings and Much love.

painnfatigue

I've been trying some natural treatments such as magnesium, 5-HTP, SAM-e, cayenne, and chlorella.

Has anyone else tried these?

I do take Magnesium although I don't feel any difference or sleep better from it. 5-HTP drugged me terribly but I am very sensitive to any type of medication and sleep supplement.

SAM-e I had tried in the past but it did not help. I believe you need to take 2 supplements with it, Folic Acid and B-12 to make it "work". You can google that though, it is pretty easy to find the information as I have read it several times.

Chlorella does have B-12, but it may be like Spirulina which although has B-12, is not the B-12 that we get from meat. Why they still call it B-12 I don't know but there are different forms of B-12.

I have not tried Cayenne.

That's interesting because I also used to have a reaction to magnesium, and even 5-HTP-- they made me feel groggy and have extreme fatigue (even when I just took them at night).

Somehow, that's improved, and I feel like they help with the pain by easing stress.

I have had great results, even wonderful results from magnesium supplementation. I had temporary but noticable improvement from a magnesium push.

Just a few weeks ago I switch from mag citrate to mag taurate and my tingling zips and zaps I've been enduring for years are about 90% gone!

Try magnesium taurate. This is wonderful stuff. Best med ever (besides ultram).

Fabulous to hear that you have had wonderful results from the magnesium supplements! Never had any positive results with this personally yet pleased it helped you!! The only natural treatements that have tried that help me is Reflexology and Omega 3with 6 plus evening primrose oil- called Effamarine.

Pleased this post was started up!! Thanks Smile!

My pain doc tested my vitamin D because I was having so many headaches. I'm better after therapeutic dosing. Magnesium at night stopped all of the muscle cramping and hiccups I was having. If I keep forgetting to take it at night, I'll get foot cramps again. (see the Mark London article about magnesium. He's got fibromyalgia). I seem all right on spasms right now, too. Have to get more active to be sure, tho. Been very inactive while recovering my adrenals.

Over the years I've tested as low on B'-6 and 12, and given myself injections.

I'm off of gluten, soy and dairy because of autoimmune and thyroid problems. Treat myself to a warm cup of coconut milk with a level spoon of tumeric and some honey. Enjoy it and I seem to have a little less swollen feeling. Going crazy with love for pineapple with a mexican chilli/lime

flakes on it. Pineapple is anti-inflammatory, too.

No sugar except the honey in my warm coconut milk, means less inflammation, and less stress on adrenals. I may eat too much fruit, it's so yummy.

I sometimes have used chlorella in the past. Tho it was bound to be healthy, I used it short term. No experience with Sam-E but recently read good things.

I've been taking B-vitamins in a multivitamin form for awhile and recently I decided to stop taking them to see if I have any increase in symptoms.

... but I started taking the chlorella lately and also some vegetable juices, and I've had a lot of increased fatigue....
