I have missed you all and reading all the posts. Thursday morning at about 6am I was woken by a familiar pain....a kidney stone attack. I ended up in the emergency room for over 4 hours with some really good drugs (morphene) and after many blood tests and cat scans later got to leave and come home for the next 4 days and lay on the heating pad, take more wonder drugs, feel nauseated and sleep. Finally I passed my 'pet rock' on Sunday morning and boy was I happy. I have had 3 of these before but this one was so different acting than the others.

Anyway, I am glad to be back and if I did not respond to any of you I wanted you to know that was why.

Hope everyone else is hanging in there too!

Hi coffeebean,

Sorry to hear you have been in extra pain due to the wicked kidney stones there should be limits on how much pain a person must endure in thier lifetime.

I understand in addtion to mt fibro, lupus and other big medical problems, I also have chronic kidney stones and they are painful.

I am gald when my smaller stones can pass 3 to 4 per month sand size to pea size,But the last super big one I had was last May it was a stagerhorn type and was growning in to to wall of my kidney........ it was bigger than a walnut in the shell, they had to cut in to my kidney and hit it with a laser so doc could pick it all out..........I hate hospitals and was stuck in one for nearly a week

If you ever want to talk stones I am your girl Ihave 30 yrs experence

Wow Bella - that makes my problem seem minor. Cutting into your kidney....oh no...

I have heard of those stagerhorn ones though but never knew of anyone who had them. You do have a lot of them, don't you?! Guess you are the person of experience to contact for sure. Did they ever try to give you any meds to prevent them? Wishing you kidney stone free days!!!
