I was wondering how much Lyrica everyone was taking out there. My doctor prescribed 150 MG and said I should take 75MG twice a day. Does anyone take 150 MG at once? I think it would make me too sleepy to take during the day.

mcclure,

I take 150mg when I get up in the morning & another 150mg between 3&6 in the evening.

I would stick with taking the 75mg twice a day, that way if it works for you, you won't have to go any higher. I was on it for about 6 or 7 months before i went to 300mg a day. Yes it makes me tired, the 2nd dose especially. I don't like it, I feel stoned for a while.

I hope you do well on it, let us know.

Thanks for letting me know what you take. I am a teacher, so taking it during the day is going to be very hard for me, so I was just curious what other people do.

Hi there! I started with a dose of 50 am, 75 pm... and worked my way up over about 6 months to 75 am, 225 pm - it makes a great difference in my life. Good luck!

Hello! I am taking 75mg 3 times a day. I started taking it the 14th of this month. I have yet to feel any results, I am hoping maybe if I give it some more time it will help. It does make me drowsy, but so does everything else I take. I work in an office during the day and the warmth and the low hum of it makes me feel like I could lay down and sleep for days! I have to get up and walk around or go outside to try and wake up a little. Hope it helps you!

Thanks for all the help. I am going to increase my dose to twice a day this weekend and hope that it doesn't make me sleepy during the day. So far, the Lyrica seems to be helping, I just hope it will continue to help me.

I'm supposed to take 150 twice a day but without insurance right now I don't take anything. So we'll see what happens when I start taking it again.

I take 200mg in the morning, 100 mg around 5:00, and 200mg at bedtime. If I am having a really painful time, I increase the middle dose to 200mg. This is really working for me.

Ramie, when money is short, I go to the different docs and ask for samples. They usually have enough to get me through. I hate for you not to have your meds. There are alot of med site that will help you if you don't have insurance. I have a very limited income. $340.00 a week, but I couldnot get any help because I have insurance.

This is off the subject, but do you want to hear something that will make you mad. I am having trouble with my disability, (like everyone else) I told you my husbands take home income. 4 people in the house. My daughter is away at school, living in a dorm but she still comes home on holidays, weekends and other times. (it is only 30 minutes away). We were getting help with our electric bill. Claire worked for six weeks over the summer and it just so happens it was the month that they rechecked the income of the household. I did not include Claires because she had already given her notice. Well, we got a letter telling us that we didn't include Claires income. So, I sent Claires paystubs with an explanation of why I didn't send them in the beginning. Well, we lost our help. Because Claire had a six week summer job to save money for college that had nothing to do with paping the household bills--we are not getting help with our electric or gas this winter. Even though we live off of $340.00 per week. I think it would be better if Scott quit his job and we went on the system. That is what two governmental agencies have told us to do.
