Oh ya, a ton of them. For a few years the pattern would be.. sinus inflammation, drainage, cough, bronchitis which lasted approx 2 months on average. There are many autoimmune diseases and one comes to mind when you mention sinus infections.

Meniere's Disease is one of those auto-immune diseases that affect the inner ear which controls balance and equilibrium. Usually an ENT (Ear Nose Throat) specialist can help you if you think that you might have it the usual symptoms include but are not limited to:

Dizziness

Nausea - sometime inducing vomiting

increase ringing in the ears fluctuating throughout the day

some hearing loss

Sorry, I know you only asked about sinus infections, but I thought I'd chime in with a little tidbit on something doctors thought I had before diagnosing me with Fibromyalgia.

Best Wishes,

CJ aka Siskoray

I agree with CJ and have all the symptoms mentioned. Most fibromites have cronic sinusitus.

I used to get sinus infections everytime I turned around. Until my CPRN suggested I try Zyrtec. I have to take it all the the fall and spring. It really works for me. Haven't had a sinus infection since I started taking it.. But you let me not take it when I should and I will feel it starting. When you have had so many sinus infections as I, you just know what it feels like when it is coming... However I never related it to fibro.. Interesting!! Thanks for the info.

I had chronic sinus infections for years. I would get so bad they would have to send me to the hospital outpatient department for IV antibiotics. I even tested positive for MRSA, the super bug in the news these days. Then I met my ENT doc and had sinus surgery in the summer of 2005. I have only had 2 sinus infections since. None in the last 11 months. Have you seen an ENT (ear, nose, throat) doc?

I had tons of sinus infections. I also had sinus surgery. Only have had a few since then.
I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.

I think where we live has someting to do with the sinus problems, after moving to middle TN my whole family has had sinus problems, everyone here seems too.

I have a water pick machine and a special attachment so I can rinse My sinus passages. It may sound strange but it really helps. I get fewer infections by using it.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel -- but it's a train about to run over you.

I have sinus problems always, and over the years just gets worse. I have almost a constant headache in and around my right eye. I lived in Va and now in NY, and it hasn't made a difference.
