Hi guys!!

Boy, you all said what I was thinking!!!

Yep, thousands of people decided to get together and conspire with each other to tell the doctors all the same symptoms!!!! That statement is a ridiculous as what the article said. Here we are as individuals that don't know each other going to doctors for the fun of it!!! We deided to lose our past lifes of happiness, enjoyment of wonderful things, decided to become complainers and whiners and to become the complete opposite of what our former selves were! See, we didn't have anything better to do so we wanted to destroy our lifes as we knew it. Just so we can spend many thousands of dollars to whine and complain to the doctors!!!!

Aren't we clever??? We have this whole conspiracy going on just so we can look like fools

All I can say RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't even think what else I can say about this stupid article, except to tell those docotrs to face us in person and say it!

Also, someone else touched on this, many years ago there were many diseases and illness that it took many years to try to figure out what was wrong with a person just by symptoms. The doctors today are lazy and feel like big shots with all their GOD like egos!

Have a great day out there all you fakers!!! Shame on you for hurting....just PUSH yourself and you'll feel OH SO MUCH better, yea, in the twilight zone!

Your oh so kind fake pain pal,

Spruce

P.S. I hope I didn't come off to sarcastic...NOT!!!

Spruce, I think that you and I could teach them the difference between pain and complain. Don't you? I can multi-task and do both at the same time. LOL

Sheesh, I think we should send all of our forum posts with the counter argument so that the publisher can see what a rucus this misinformed "doctor" has created. I cant believe that people can honestly be so daft! I definitely think that if millions of people all over the planet are reporting the same symptoms, there is something there. Does this prude actually think that a 19 year old girl such as myself would decide that it is much more fun to lay in bed all day only able to sit up for short amounts of time, to give up playing sports, to not be able to go on regular dates, and miss out on college and dorm rooms, and parties?!? What a pompous a**!!!

Spruce, I love your comments. This article pissed me of to no end, but reading all of your responses makes me feel so much better!

hope you all have a happy day. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Lots of love and hugs!

~soopergirl

p.s. I noticed that there are some people on here that I dont recognize, so welcome. Come on in and join the crazy party!!!

a day without laughter is a day wasted.

Wow, I have to say as angry as I was, I really never expected this response! I think all of us need to respond to NY Times. Once they are inundated with all of us "whiners and complainers" they may feel the need to write a counter-article, huh? As Ty would say "LETS DOOOOO IT" I only hope I didn't cause anyone undo stress by starting this thread... it is truly my one regret for doing it.

Love and hugs to all

~Cath

I just read the article in the NY Times and the posts about it. I am as angry as all of you, I loved being a nurse so much that I thought I would make up a bunch of symptoms that would take that career away from me. I obviouls wasn't a very good nurse or I would I hae picked a "real" set of symptoms to get out of work! I wonder if that docs "vicissitudes" cause him to hurt so much sometimes that all he can do is lie around and try not to cry. I think all of us fibromites adapt quite well considering so many of us are still working ,going to school, raising families, dealing with other crises in our lives. I would write to the editor od the NY times but I am too busy thinking up new fake symptoms for my fake disease.

On a cheerier not to all my felow fibromites may today be a pain free one and may you all find peace.

May life always bring you laughter.

Will do Suzee! Im not counting on it though. I am normally very shy about doing things like that as well. I avoid conflict at all costs! I guess I was annoyed enough to let them know just how I felt lol LMAO kessl!! Love the sarcasm!

Have a wonderful evening everyone. I myself am HIGH on Lyrica! I think I need to go to that thread... they increased my meds and I am high as a kite and sick as a dog because of it Hugs and love to all

Well ladies, I am definitely not a shy person so I will try to represent you all well when I write to the editor. I went up against teachers, vps, cops, and even the principal in order to make it through school fairly. I have no fear of saying what I feel (generally in a respectful way, but not if they disrespect me!) I hope you all have a fabulous night! Lots of love!
