MDJunction to me

mabri"When I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with fibromyalgia, I didn't know where to turn. I got on my computer and looked for a support group where I could talk to other people with the same disease and get some help...Information, suggestions, mostly just what I can do now that I have this.....disorder/disease/syndrome...I didn't even know what to call it. I found MDJ, and yes, there was a support group for fibro. I started a post, and figured I would never get an answer. However, very quickly I was welcomed in, and became really involved in the group. I received help, support, friendship and the feeling of being truly cared about by these strangers who had become like family to me. Now, I have been here for about a year and a half...I have become a group leader, and love every minute of it. It is so wonderful to be able to help others. I still receive help and answers from the members in this group. The fibromyalgia is where I go to help, support, listen, care and even laugh. I don't know what I would do without this group." Am a massive advocate for humour/humor therapy as a treatment/medicine to alleviate the pains of Fibromyalgia. You cannot overdose on laughter medicine plus the side effects are all good. Laughter is scientifically proven to help with a myriad of chronic health conditions including fibromyalgia, too.

Take my daily dose of humour therapy- it helps to lower the pains plus it helps me to hold on tightly when the pains are sky high too!! Check out my article 18 Tips For Expanding Your Sense Of Humour on Self Esteem & Positive Thinking Support Group- please Smile!

Thanks Smilelivingwithfm! Take humour therapy of some kind most days as it really helps with the fibro as well as with life in general- seek out humour everywhere as well as use my imagination to amuse myself Wink!

Have not children- was not blessed with them(body not designed that way even though heart adores kids- so put my attentions to my neices and nephew) yet have a pet dalmatian- Sebster- he is very funny- always amusing me!!

Have a humour article in the Articles section over on Self Esteem & Positive Thinking Sg- please check it out.

Super gentle hugs to you from this bespectacled British batgirl, love Clarita SmileCool

That's one thing I love about my whuppy (whippet puppy)! She makes me laugh at least once an hour! There's a pic of her snoozing at my profile! And I actively search out my favourite comedians on the web for a heavy-duty dose of comedy when in real pain. Lewis Black esp. makes me rotfl. In my younger days, when I was MUCH more outgoing, I even did some stand-up comedy myself at local venues!

-gentle hugs to all and much laughter-

TeaButterfly, funny, I love Lewis Black. Many don't as he is vulgar. He cracks me up! He has a new HBO special.
My postings are based purely on personal and professional experience. I'm no expert or M.D., and always recommend a physicians opinion and treatment plan. I don't practice medicine, law or ethics. I'm just a nurse hoping to give as much as I take. Peace.

Thanks for that info, Dodson! Lewis may be vulgar but he is right on the money in most cases!
