right now I could just cry!!! I see most of you are taking prescription pain meds when my dr wont even give me any!! he says that the lyrica should be taking care of it all. It's no wonder I have dreams of jumping off a building. (in reality, i would never do that!!) but it has crossed my mind. I just don't know how much more of this I can take. I have 4wks until I see a rheumy!!!

I'm with you Suzanner. I have only gotten anti-psychotic medication. I have been searching for help for 5 years or more. I also made the mistake of telling my GP that the pain is so bad that a couple days a month I think of suicide, due to frustration with the pain.....his answer for help was putting me in a MENTAL HOSPITAL. And I don't mean with depressed patients, I mean Mentally ill and retarded patients. I had a nervous breakdown there!!!

I've pretty much kept away from docs since then, have a Neuro, who has probably never written a script for an opiod, just brain altering drugs. So now I have done alot of research on Colonics. 80% of all illness is connected to the colon. I had my second one in a row yesterday and when I went to the bathroom afterwards I notice the color was back in my face! I have been so pale forever. This removes toxins and yeast from your cells. LOOK UP CANDIDA, it's a yeast and fungal overgrowth and it mimicks FMS symptoms! We are almost all diagnosed with IBS......it's worth a shot, will keep everyone informed on my progress with this. Today is my 3rd in a row and so excited.

Lyrica: Tips to overcome side effects

Cymbalta: This drug could be the next medication approved for fibromyalgia. Learn about optimal dosing regimen, overcoming side effects, effects on blood pressure and sleep.

Milnacipran: This drug has been dispensed in Europe and Asia for years and is expected to be available in the United States late this year. Learn how this medication works and what makes it different from others.

Oxytrex: In its final phase of testing, this opioid enhances pain relief with less side effects than oxycodone.

Heres a list of new drugs and drugs soon to be out I recieved it in an email today.

My doctor reluntantly gave me lyrica he said he did not think I had fm I have done the research for 11 years. Finally my dc sent mr to a (ruemitoidologist?) And he did some test and it was fm. my doc says he does not perscribe nercotic meds. So I get no releif unless it gets bad enough to go to er about twice a month. talk about frequent shoppers. I wish it was easier. I have sufferd from bipolar depression since1991 and fm does not help. I am the type of person who will cut myself to help deal with pain. I have scares that will never heal. HELP................

I'm really looking for a kind, understanding doctor that has experience with fibromyalgia. My pain is getting out of control again and I cannot afford epidurals again. I live in Davie, Florida. Can anyone help?

Reading how the Pharmacists treat you all makes me feel no longer alone. The only Pharmacy we have here is Wally world..ugh, the main Pharmacist (they have 3 total) always treats me like Shite, when he comes over to give me my prescriptions he is condescending and makes me feel less than human. There is also one Tech who is the same way..maybe if they took the time to ask me what is wrong with me rather than label me a druggie because I have two narcotic prescriptions filled a month, then maybe they would see the illness and not the possibilities behind the medicines!

I could rant about pharmacies and the way I have been treated over the last year..but I will keep my rant minimal!

THIS is not all in my head, and NO I am not crazy!
the bra seems to be my mortal enemy, a weird 19th century torture device most obviously designed by a man!

Let's see... I just got diagnosed but I have been on several meds to try to relieve my symptoms for the last 1 and 1/2 years.

Oxycontin-40mg. 2x a day

Vicodin 1-2 tablets as needed every 4 hours (which means I take it every 4 hours, since my pain is not under control yet)

Clonazepam- I take this 3 times a day for anxiety issues and I take a higher dose at night to help me sleep...helps with anxiety and that is it!

Neurontin- 1800 mg a day...I take this for pain and the burning feeling I have mostly in my right leg..Does it help? maybe 25%.. I used to wake up screaming from the pain and burning now I still wake up from it all but no screaming. I wake up take a pill now and pray the pain and burning will go away enough so I can sleep a little longer

Phenergan 25 mg as needed for nausea... This seems to work well but makes me even more sleepy than I already am..

Nexium 40mg a day helps a little

Imitrex 100 mg as needed this is new so I have yet to see if it helps. I take it for Migraines

Nothing helps 100% or even 50%....Going to a new doctor who has Fibromyalgia herself and specializes in it... I am putting all of my faith into her right now
