MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

as I've learned the hard way the pain doctors will treat pain drug you up to an exstreme but will not do much to find out what the causes are some think your drug hunting some use you as gunnie pigs for diffrent meds that they need tested or have a contract with they are drug pushers of the leagal kind please no your body and always have some one you trust keep an eye on you to be sure there aren't side effects you dont relise, fight for your self but be perpared to go through several doctors, have you gone to a rumie yet(rumatologist) several here have better luck that way
we all have alot to give if one gets the help then some of this suffering is worth it..

remeber I am not a doctor I just say what I think

Yes, i've been to a rheumatologist. She said that there was nothing she could do for me because i'm already on meds to help with the pain [neurontin]. she doesn't believe in giving other meds and to seek out a pain management dr. most drs i come across have that same answer. or i get the ol you're crazy routine. for yrs i have suffered in silence because i was so harrassed by them that i stopped looking. but now 6 yrs later i'm still in the same boat but utterly burned out. you wouldn't believe what i've heard.

Hi Dear There is a Pain Management Center in Lynchburg, which I know is a LOOOOOng drive from where you live. As I am being refered by my doc I called and had info sent to me. This one offers accupuncture, massage therapy as well as the HIGH powered meds. The only problem is that it must be APPROVED by your insurance first(it is very expensive) So I will NOT be going as I have no insurance and they don't take payments or offer assistance for costs.

It is Center for Pain Management at VA.Baptist Hospitol Lynchburg 434-947-4175 in case you do want to check it out...Good Luck

i've never tried alternative treatments before. i probably couldn't afford it though. my insurance would give about a 20% discount but i'm sure the sessions would be over a hundred and i'd have to go back i don't know how many times. the health care system needs to be changed!
