MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

Hi everyone! I'm new here, but not new to fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed about 10 years ago but have recently been trying new treatment. my question is about Lyrica. Has anyone had any side effects that were listed? I have been taking it since Sunday and I've had terrible headaches (I know that's listed) but I've also been very nauseous. Anyone else have this happen?

yes i started that last mon. I went to the rhuemmy on friday, and he stopped it, I was very very dizzy and uncordinated. I had no desire for food, maybe from the dizziness. I was nauseous. I have not taken it since friday morn, and Now on cymbalta and my dizziness is still there but not as much. Call your dr. My dr said some people can not tolerate it. Hope you feel better.

I'm an Advocate

I have been taking Lyrica since May ...2 75mg capsules at bedtime and other than memory problems, it helps me.

I would check with the dosage your dr. started you on also.

Some people (most I have talked to) cannot tolerate Lyrica so I m glad there are other meds out there for them to take and get relief.

I don't get it - Lyrica is supposed to be for the pain? I have been taking it 2x a day and now a stronger dosage and the only difference I have is that I have more energy and alert. I don't feel any different with my pain.

I don't remember nausea, but I was dizzy for the first 3 or 4 weeks I was on it. It actually made my nerve pain worse.
