Are you taking multiple meds and questioning if they are okay together? If so, here's a website that can help you with that:

www.drugdigest.com

At the top of the screen select 'Drug Interactions'.

Then you select a drug or herbal that you're taking, push the arrow to get it to the right side. Then, select another drug and move it over. Continue until you have all of them you're taking, that you can find, and then click 'Check Interactions'.

This will tell you which meds are interacting with another. Also, the severity of it.

DO NOT STOP TAKING your prescribed medication. If you have any interactions- call your doctor, doctor's nurse, or pharmacist right away.

I actually have 4 med interactions. When I found that out from the website, I called my doctor and had a chat with him. He explained the reasons I'm on all the meds I am, talked again about their side affects, and explained why I needed to take these medications. The meds that I'm taking together have a minimal risk of actually ever interacting with one another. Therefore, I've continued taking them.

I discovered this website about a year ago, and I refer to it often. So, IF you are worried about your meds- use this. If you aren't, nor have any problem with your meds at the moment- don't check. Don't use this to make yourself paranoid. The only reason I started looking into it was because I was having hallucinations, falling, several other things that made me question it.

It's never good to go over-board on the researching. You can drive yourself crazy with all the possibilites, and worrying.

I just put this out there, in hopes of helping someone that might really be questioning it.

~Take care and gentle hugs to you all.~

Good morning, {{{Amy}}}, and thank you for this new site.

I am sure it will help several with any questions they may have.

I have bookmarked it for future reference because I DID, once, have a terrible drug interaction and it was not a pleasant experience.

I hope you are having a pain-free day ...

Take care... {{{HUGS}}} Marilyn

Just be sure to tell them that you're allergic to codeine, and give them a list of all prescription or OTC meds that you're using. Then ask them what they're going to prescribe before they start the procedure. That way, you'll be able to concentrate better on the discussion.....

I use Drug.com. In addition to checking all of your drugs against one another, there is a place where you can list your drug names and strengths etc, your allergies to drugs, the names and telephone numbers of your doctors etc. You can print out a copy of this listing each time you go to a new doctor or visit one of your regular doctors and have changes in your meds. I keep one in my purse, one in my car and I hang one on the refrigerator. Check it out. http://www.drugs.com

It's free.

May your troubles be less, Your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door!

I talked to the nurse at bluecross yesterday and told her that my liver levels were up and she said it is probably my medication for chlorestrol. We just can't win. I need to take the medicine. What do I do? Any ideas?
