Hi All ...

As some of you know, I had an appt. with my Rhuemy last Friday (instead of waiting until Sept. 8th.

The results are:

I don t have to take the Bupropion XL anymore as I told him I didn t feel any different while taking it. Yea !!!

I asked him if the way I have been feeling is truly Fibro and not my thyroid or something else. (Was once tested for MS and dx d with Spinal Stenosis) He says NEITHER of these either. (Another Yea !!! )

The severe pain and discomfort at the base of my neck is arthritis . He gave me a free sample of Voltaren Gel (as well as written 'script) if it works. This morning is the first I have used it so will see what happens by days end.

Now I need to decide if I really think the Lyrica is making any difference. I truly don t think alot has changed since I started it 3 months ago.

Starting now, I will be seeing him on an ""as needed basis"" meaning no scheduled appt. now but I will call if I need to see him. I kinda like that idea, too !!!

I hope all of you are having a happy, pain free day . Take care, All ...

Wow what great news Auntie. I've often wondered if I got diagnosed wrong. Whether or not my aches and pains are coming from my twisted lower spine. Before fibro was ever mentioned by a Dr, I had these aches and pains. I learned to live with them so that's why I don't take Lyrica. I've been in two major accidents with major injuries. I can always remember the Dr's telling me that I've healed now but will feel the effects of my injuries later on in life. The only thing I have different if the fatigue. I'd love to see where that came from. I do have the tender points all 18 of them so maybe I do have fibro.

I wish there was more informed Drs on the subject.

May your troubles be less, Your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door!
