Yesterday my PT was in the water. What a great feeling to be in a pool all by yourself. The PT was so good to me. My knee hurts not as bad as I thought it would.

From there I went to the Dentist for the 4th time I had to have the same crown put back in.

From there I went to see my social worker I love her. She is so nice and makes me see things in different ways.

As for today I will being leaving the house at 10:00am for an MRI of my brain.

Nerveous I am about being in the enclosed place for the MRI. I have to take medicine to breathe.

That is all that has been up with me and why I was just been reading and not writing. I am back. Just pray for good news. Remember my daughter 2 years ago she was diagnosed with MS. In September she will be 24.

Thanks for always being here.

Barbara

I could handle any of it except the dentist

When I had my MRI several years ago, they put headphones on me and let me pick what music I wanted to listen to. I picked classical, then fell asleep through the test. Do they let you listen to music??

I'll be thingking about you and sending a prayer your way.

Well at the dentist this was my 4th week in a row. They had to do work to get the crown to stay. She had to put a hugh post in and she drilled down until I jumped almost out of the chair. The dentist said she has never seen a post break like this. Swimming is wonderful. But I am nervous for MRI. Lets just get this over. As far as the ear phone when the noise is being made I can't hear anything but the machine. I will ask about that today. Plus I have authorization to take a valium to get through this.

My mom has them put a cloth over her eyes. She says this helps here too. The valium should help. Even with the earplugs, you can still hear it. I hope it is not too bad. Let, me know how you do.

So glad you enjoyed the water therapy! YAY

I'm going to start going back next week. The shoulder surgeon wanted me to have physical therapy. I said, "NO WAY". I've tried that and it didn't do anything but cause more excrutiating pain. So, water therapy it is.

The MRI. I had one of those before. Ear plugs or the music, either is good. I know you can still hear the noise, but it's better than nothing. And I agree with ALCSS2008, the cloth over the eyes is good. It helps the nerves. Hang in there with that. I'll be thinking about ya!!

Hate the dentist. I feel bad that you're having to go back so many times. Some mouths are more sensitive than others. And with having health issues, it makes it even worse. Hang in there with that too. Ugh!

Be sure to let us know know how everything goes. Try and get a nap in today. You're having a busy week. So, take extra care of yourself.

Many, Many Gentle Hugs

It's great to see a post from you!

When I had my MRI I took a xanax and wore an eye mask. It helped some.

Going to the dentist is torture...I make mine give me gas and novacane(sp) for everything except normal cleanings.

I hope all goes well!!

My first MRI was nice. Xanax head phones singing along with Janis Joplin to Oh Lord won't you buy me a Merces Benz.

Second MRI was horrible. They don't have an MRI machine here so they bring one in in a tractor trailer once a month. They didn't even ask me if I needed meds. This jerk just stuck me in and started the machine asking every once in awhile if I was ok. The thing was so loud, and being in something on wheels, I felt like I was rocking back and forth. I started to panic. I finally lived thru it but it set off a Meniere's attack. I was so dizzy I couldn't open my eyes and I started crying. then he kept trying to get me off the little bed they put you on and I kept falling because of the severe vertigo. He didn't know what to do so I started screaming I needed help. Course no one heard because we were in a tractor trailer truck outside the clinic. I finally got under control and he walked me out really fast. I told my Dr that the next time she wanted an MRI it better be in a clinic or a hospital and it better be an open MRI or I ain't getting one. Now I can't have one done unless it's in a special machine because of the metal stent in my heart.

Oh dear, I was supposed to cheer you up instead I told you a horror story.

You should do what I do when I need to go to the dentist now. Simply take them out put them in their little blue container and hand them to your hubby and tell him to drop them off at the dentist. Much less painful that way.

Sending you the courage to get thru the MRI with flying colors.

You can do it girl cause you are strong.

Special hugs and wishes for a good result on your MRI.

May your troubles be less, Your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door!

Well, I made it through the MRI with the breathing exercises my councelor taught me. I actually feel asleep, but it was weird. I could feel my hand just fly in the air. I didn't move it. That is why my husband has trouble when I sleep in the bed. Because I do the jerks. Does anyone else no that dance. Not sure why, I have never had a sleep study but maybe I should. I am back and so far the fixing of the crown this week is working so far. Tuesday was 4th trip to the dentist. Then I went to water Theraphy, then I had to see my councelor. Then Wednesday was the MRI. Friday is PT again. I am exhausted. I need to see my Rhuemy. He needs to drain my left need and boy does that hurt. But I missed you all.

Glad you came thru the MRI with flying colors. I think sometimes we get ourselves so worked up thinking for the worst that can happen. I know I do. Then when it's over you look back and say, "now what was so bad about that?" Onward to the teeth and PT. For some reason both of my knees started hurting today. That is a first because I've never had any knee pain before.

Good luck with your knee draining. That sounds painful.

May your troubles be less, Your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door!
