I agree. I think that it one reason for us to share the effects of medines etc. it is one way to help find a potion of the truth.

I think it's marvelous to have a group of people who can discuss the various treatments and medications. I decided not to even try Lyrica, based on the number of nasty things it has done to people here. My doctor would love to prescribe it.

BTW, he had no problem at all with the 5-HRT, even though I also take Zoloft. I know the 5HRT makes a difference. It doesn't make me perfect, but it definitely makes me better.

I tried Lyrica 3 times I felt really wacky and Didnt think I could work and take it I had enough trouble being alert with fibro fog and sleep apnea.I gave it another shot at a much smaller dose and felt about the same, stopped then felt lousy. My Mom said I should have taken it longer to see how it was after a few weeks so I gave it another whirl. I ate like a pig and felt like a zombie! No thanks! The last thing I need is to be more depressed and gain more weight, I would hurt more than ever and the cycle continues.

Lyrica did not agree with me at all. Exhausted/leg swelling hallucinations- it was bad- Some it has helped- Just trial and error see what helps you- sometimes im sorry the side effects are much much worse than the benefit-I read about all meds ive taken - good place is like drugs.com you can lookup all your meds see what they do and if any of them will interact with the other- another place is iguard.org will keep you updated also if anything changes with meds or they find out something bad/good with meds. Nice place to start
Trying to find comfort in all this...

Tryin,

I tried Lyrica for a month. At first i felt dizzy and high and felt like I was going to fall over whether I was sititng or standing. That went away pretty fast, about a week or so. I had headaches every day, not really bad but always there. Then my hands and feet started to swell and when they swelled, what used to feel like tingles & tickles turned into numbness & burning...bad burning--but it really seemed to help with muscle pain which is weird 'cuz it's supposed to make nerve pain better and have no effect on muscle pain (according to my doc, anyway). I also gained 10 lbs in one month. I'm taking Cymbalta and flexeril now and feel much better, I'm not hungry all the time and my hands and feet aren't swollen.

Broken, I've been taking Zoloft for at least ten years, and I can't think of a single span of time when it, or anything else, affected my sex drive.

Thinking, thinking.

Nope, not a day of decrease.
