Amen Janilee!! No offense to the skinny people either, but it seems the majority I've spoken with in the past and on other sites are...like me...fluffy. I wish they'd also show the Fibro Walk when we have all the pains and stuff attacking and the stiffness, etc. Now THAT would be a good commercial! Unless they end it with the person out golfing or playing tennis or something. LOL

Pamela {please}

I wish tons of love and hugs!

I know what you mean Janilee! My only experience with FMS before I got my dx was the commerical with the lady teaching an art class and my tiny little bird-like cousin. My first thought was that I couldn't have FMS 'cuz I was too fluffy! Too bad being skinny doesn't come with the disease--I wouldn't mind it so much then!

I take 60mgs of Cymbalata at bedtime. She never told me when to take it and I "assumed" that it would make me sleepy.

My hubby REALLY wants me to call the doctor and see about Lyrica, but I'm very hesitant about it. I'm already taking Lasix because my left leg and ankle swell, I don't need anymore swelling. I already have speech problems. Hubby has noticed that when I don't feel good my speech is getting slurred like I'm drunk.

Jan you are right about the thin ladies, i used to be one. I would like them to use actually fibro patients, all shapes and sizes. I'm sure there are enough people out there that Lyrica is dong a good job for that would speak up and tell the world about it. Use those people!

Be wise and dignified like the swan: he maintains his composure, staying unruffled on the surface, while always paddling like crazy underneath.

I had been sick since 2000. In 2002, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I have been sick with all the symptoms that are related to Fibro. I truly believe my Rhuemy when he said that I had this. I trust him. He was my third Rhuemy. I think since he is a well know rhuemy than I believe him. It was great when I finally got diagnosed. I don't take Lyrica because of side effects.

I saw the commercial with the skinny lady talking about Lyrica and then she gets up and starts walking around sightseeing with a man. My first thought is that the lady is really really skinny. Like Janilee said, she looks almost anarexic. I started Lyrica 13 days ago and I have gained 4 pounds already. I guess if they used fluffy people in the commercials it would make people think twice about taking it.

I have an appointment with my doc. on Aug. 11th and I am going to ask him about the weight gain. I already take a beta blocker for my heart and my family has a bad history of heart disease and I just want to go over that again with him. My hands are swollen really bad today and I can hardly type because my brain and hands feel like they are disconnected.

Janilee, they do have a lady that is sort of "fluffy" in one of the commercials. She is walking out of her house into a garden.

also the commercials seem to be older ladies no offence to you out there but they need a commercial in a house with an over weight mom laying on the couch being harrassed by her children to play cut to her older and grandchildren doing the same thing take lyrica and stumble around like a drunk person the commercial they have makes me angry because it is so fake and you can tell their acting because if it worked for them they'd be in tears singing the praises,maybe they need a commercial of a group meeting of us exsplaining what we go through and for the ones out there that get relief cut to a month later and then hear their stories again anything but the emmbarrising commercials they have out now it makes our problems sound stupid and more unbelievable

Broken-- you are so right. I wonder if we wrote to the company that makes Lyrica and explain to them that those commercials are more harmful then helpful to us they may do something.

But who am I kidding that won't happen!
