For anyone who is interested I was in Walgreens Pharmacy the other day and I was looking at the vitamins and things and I found this spray called "Sleep Now" (Nutramist). It has melatonin and Valerian in it. What you do is spray it in your mouth 15-30 minutes before bedtime and it is supposed to help you fall asleep and stay asleep. I have been using it for 3 days now and I have woke up at the most 1-2 times, where normally I wake up 6-8 times a night. I also fall asleep very quickly from it. I have horrible sleep problems and haven't found anything that helps. So far this has helped.

Hi I am new here, I have ben taking amitryptiline for nearly a month now and it works really well. my doctor prescribed it as i have really bad problems sleeping which just makes all my other symptoms worse. I use something called badger balm which comes in a tin like lip balm and you rub it on your pressure points on the wrists and temples and it helps you sleep, I think it was £6.

Valerian has the opposite effect on me. A friend gave me some the night before my wedding and I was hyper and couldn't sleep! She swore it would help.

I have tried Valerian before. I burp it all night long, it's worse than the fish oil capsules.
