I have been having a problem with sweating...I don't know if it is a side effect from meds or a fibro symptom..(or early menopause) I don't have to be doing much and I will start to sweat so bad that my hair will be soaking wet and I will have sweat dripping down my forehead......Does anyone else have this problem?

YES! I used to be able to work outside all day and never sweat, hubby always said it wasn't fair. Now I sweat doing nothing. I sweat when I cook, I sweat when I'm in the yard, I sweat right after I get out of the shower. Runs in my eys, drips off my nose and in cracks that I really wish it wouldn't.

I don't know why I do it and the doctor can't explain it either.

OMG YES! I sweat so much these days and I never used to! I can just be doing a little housework around the house, in central air conditioning and my hair is soaking wet. It is embarrassing too because I sweat when I am in stores too, I get really hot in them. It may be a side effect of some meds. I know it is of Cymbalta, and Klonopin. Not sure which else. Maybe Lyrica too.

I sweat when I do nothing...I can't stand heat anymore. I am very sensitive to heat too because then it makes the sweating even worse. If I go out to do yard work or just sit outside and it is hot and humid I turn around and go right back in the air conditioning and stay. mcbeth, I sweat when I get out of the shower too and keep on sweating.. I can dry my hair with the hair dryer and ten minutes later it is just as wet as when I got out of the shower....

I don't take Cymbalta or Lyrica... I do take Klonopin but I believe my doses of Klonopin are small..... It is just so crazy and you are right embarassing!!!!!

I also sweat when I get out of the shower, when I go to bed, when I walk downstairs to the kitchen and just sitting around. It is crazy! I hate it. I always used to be able to do stuff and ppl would say you never sweat. Yeah well look at me now.

You know my mom got a job at Dillards department store one time and she quit after a few days. I asked her what happened. She said that it was because she sweat so much in there, even when she wasnt doing anything it was embarrassing.

Hi I'm new here but I'd like to add my comment about this subject. I also sweat a lot easier...one reason is because it's a side effect of cymbalta BIG time. Another is when I am in really bad pain I will get a fever and then break into a sweat when the fever is coming down.

Yes I have been having hot flashes..so I went to my PCP and she did blood work for my hormones...I got them back last week and my hormones were in the below menopause level. So I started on my hormones yesterday and I am starting to feel better...but it will take a little while. But I do say get them checked...

I do not take Cymbalta or Lyrica and I experience the stupid sweats too... I'm 24 and not overweight or anything and when I was younger I would never get too hot or sweat much unless playing sports of course - now I can be sitting at work and not even be hot and I'm always sweaty... not to the point of dripping but my palms and pits are just gross when I am done work and I have a desk job!!! I have tried different antipersperants and still the same thing... is there anything the doctor can give me to help this?!

It is nice to know that others are experiencing sweating problems, too. I thought it was just me. I hate taking a shower, and then be so sweaty that it is hard to get dressed. UCK!!! I hate to sweat anyway, but especially when I'm CLEAN! Usually when I'm sitting or sleeping, I have to have a fan blowing directly on me - and sometimes I still sweat a lot, even then. I sometimes feel sorry for my husband because he sleeps under a sheet and blanket, while I sleep (when I can ) under nothing with a fan blowing on me! I'm pretty sure that my sweating is not caused from hormones, and I'm not on a lot of meds now - so I don't know what is causing the problem. Almost sounds like a "fibro symptom." But it can be very embarrassing.
Gentle Hugs,
Carla
