Well I too can relate. I am very sensitive to noise, sometimes it seems worse then others. It started the same time the sensation in my feet and hands started. I too have blurred vision but when last tested nothing unusual was found but that was two yrs ago, so I am having my eyes rechecked at an eye institute (out of pocket). I had blood work done and it all came back fine (as usual). The only problem I was having was thyroid medication, I had to switch brands. I know certain things we eat or consume can play a role as well. I also had a VNG test that came back abnormal (that is where they blow air into your ears (which causes you to spin) and check your eye response etc... I know test are not very accurate either. I had an MRI that showed herniated disc in my neck and another MRI that didn't show it. I know exams can be inaccurate too. I had one that showed nastigma upon one exam and then didn't show it on the other. I have yet to find out about lesions which was one doctors concern. I am going to go see my ENT doctor next. Its a shame that we have to do all the research and basically diagnose ourselves etc.. but yet the doctors are the ones getting paid and we are in dept.

I also had an abnormal VNG test... I went to 3 ENT's and they sent me to a neurologist. I have lesions on my brain and on the vestibular nerve that runs from my brain to my right ear. I am being watched for Multiple Sclerosis. My mother has it. My doctor prescribed me Valium the other day for my sensitivity to sound. It actually helped some. It gets so bad sometimes I want to cover my ears and hide under the covers and sleep until it goes away....

My sensitivity is with eyes and light. It might have anything to do with fibro but if it is too bright it bothers me and I get headaches. If I get headaches then I could have the sensitivity to noise because I get really bad migrianes (spelling).

I can relate to all that has been said thus far. With me, it is certain pitches, and certain noises. The feeling at times affects my ear nerve, and sometimes it sends shockwaves through my whole nervous system. I was always a little sensitive to noise in the past, but this kind of sensitivity has caused me to stay away from certain places and or people. Most people don't understand WHY I can't turn off my response to this. lol! I wish I could shut it down.

Also my sensitivity to light has gotten worse. Especially in the morning. I have to ease into the light. And sunlight when I first wake up. I can't even think of a word to describe the response my system has. Eventually I can ease into it. But I often have to wear sunglasses even indoors depending on the light.

I am so glad I'm not the only one. Thank you all so much.

I have sensitivity to certain pitches of sound, which is really difficult for me,since I am hard of hearing. I can't hear certain pitches or levels of sound in my left ear, and now sometimes what I hear in the right hear makes my whole body hurt.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.
