I feel the same exact way. If I stay out too long, my hands and feet will also start to puff up on me and get that tight feeling. If I have to get out in the heat of the day, I will be drained of wha precious little enery that I do have...

Oh thank heavens, I though I was the only one who felt like I had the flu all the time. It's not very warm here in the Pacific Northwest where I live, so I spend alot of time wrapped in a blanket or wearing thermal underwear.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

I have Raynauds and it effects my hands and feet. When I was pregant with my first child I had toxemia. Which made my hand and feet swell. I wore size men 10 in shoes. Between the 2 now when it is hot out my hands and feet blow up so bad. If I don't remember to take my rings off before this starts to happen I won't get them off. I start to freak and not be able to breathe because if how tight they get. Does anyone have Raynauds or had toxema?

Barbara

When some people ask me to describe how I feel. I tell them in simple terms. Think about the worst case of the flu you ever had. I feel that everyday of my life. I have found that to be the best explination that people can understand.

Yes Barbara I have Raynauds, it is a miserable disease since it can quite cold where I live. I had toxemia when I was pregnant with our last child, gained about 80 pounds of water weight and my kidneys almost shut down. I like that description mydragonfly it is short, sweet and to the point.

Hi Everyone!

I've had flu-like days where my body just kills me and I found Ultram will take the edge off and give me the ability to function.

Also just recently with a flu-like day I has very bad nasal drip and kept having to blow my nose constantly. I even got a red nose. I found that Claritin-D worked wonders and then the next day it was gone and I felt better.

Do you think the sinus congestion/nasal drip is part of a flare up?

Have a great night!

Penny

The heat and humidity in FL hit me hard also. I'm glad someone mentioned the swelling. My fingers and ankles swell when I exercise, or if I travel in a car or plane for extended periods of time. They tested me for toxemia when I was pregnant, but it was negative.

I had toxemia with my first baby but didn't go into convulsions until I was home, getting out of the car with her and I was shaking so badly I had to yell for my husband to get the baby. It was terrible.

Glad to know others have experienced this also. I have the flu feelings every day of my life and just sit and cry some days. My mom will come over and rub my arms and legs. I too tell people to imagine the worst case of flu they've ever had and I tell them I feel that way every day........it's awful!
