Hello everyone,

My 2 year old daughter has been having trouble with her left hip/leg for a month or so. She will wake up and not be able to walk for several hours. At first I thought she slept on it wrong or sprained something. For the past couple of days it has been really bad and her leg is stiff as a board for a few hours. She will eventually walk but her leg stays stiff.

I took her to her doctor today and they did x-rays. Nothing showed up. They drew blood from both arms and I'm waiting for the results. The doctor thought that it may be fibro, arthritis, or lupus because I have those disorders.

Has anyone ever heard of a small child developing fibro or any of the other things I mentioned? Any advice would be most appreciated.

Okay, to top off my bad day! My 8 year old son has had an infection in his jaw for the past week. He had a molar pulled on Friday. They said he would have to have surgery on Monday if the medication didn't work to get rid of it. I brought him in on Monday and they did a ct-scan. They called me and said it was just swelling and he didn't need to have surgery. The doctor still needed to read the scan and they would call on Tuesday. I didn't hear anything Tuesday so I figured it was OKay! NOT!!! They called me this morning and wanted me to bring him in today for the surgery. I was on my way to the doctor with my daughter, he was at school, so I couldn't. So now he is scheduled for surgery tomorrow at noon! I won't be on much, because he will be in the hospital, and I'm going to stay with him!

I'm going crazy with worry for both of them! It has been a very bad week and I just need some help from my friends here! Thank you for reading this and letting me get it out! I hope that everyone is doing well! Your Friend, Chris

It's so much scarier when our children are sick. I will definantly pray for you and yes I have heard of children being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, but I would be sure to not let those doctors try to put it off to something like that without allot of blood work first!

I'm going to the doctor with my daughter tomarrow because she has had a headache everyday and at night it turns into a migraine. I totally understand your fears right now.

It's bad enough when one child is sick, but when you have two that are sick it can really wear you out physically and emotionally draining.

Thank you! It is so hard to see them hurting. They cry and then I cry! I think I get more upset than the kids do! They get that look in their faces of HELP ME MOM!!!

I feel so helpless. Noone likes to see their kids have any troubles. Especially if it is their health!

Thanks again! I will let you all know as soon as I find out anything! Your Friend, Chris

HI.. I have heard of the symptoms... it was Lymes disease... a friend of mine had a little girl that had these symptoms... and my nephew had almost the same symptoms... and both were lymes.... If you are looking for test make sure you go to a Lymes literate lab for the blood test..

mommyofsix,

I will definitely pray for you. My son had a brain injury at a skate park 4 years ago and it's the worst thing in the world to watch you child suffer and not be able to help them ! Thank God he is ok with just a little bit of short term memory problems. But it was my worst nightmare. Sending you hugs and lots of prayers.

Stay strong.
