Welcome back Pam, and I am also glad that your son's surgery went well.

I also wanted to tell everyone that the Steve Wilkos show called me yesterday and asked a few questions. I tried to explain everything as good as I could, I have been sick with a bad cold, anyway she said that she was going to turn all the info over to a producer to see what they think. If this is something that they want to do then they would get back to me. So who knows????

Jan I am glad that you got your pin. I have a total of 15 left so last call. PM me right away if you want one.

{{Soft & Gentle Hugs}} to all of you

Good morning ladies, I just wanted to check in and see how everything is going.I went to a "" Fibromyalgia "" I can not remember the other word that they used but they said that they would have different people that would give information on the new drugs and things to help with Fibromyalgia. They made it seem in the paper that they had this big deal and will have different booths of information for us. So I thought that I would go and see what I could find out. My daughter and I went and what it ended up to be is a small meeting of people who have Fibro. They had a lady there selling body lotions and creams and they had a guy there talking about massage and that was all. No one was hardly there and when I talked to them about May 12th they said that they knew about it and was passing out bookmarkers that had the date on it and when it was started. But the lady in charge said that Fremont, Ne has marked April 26th as Fibro Awareness Day.

I was not very impressed with what they were doing they never talked about Fibro they were have like a Mary Kay show or something to that effect. I feel that what we have been trying to do here has done more for the people then what they was doing. I might be to picky but not to many people stayed most of the ones I saw they walked in seen what was going on and left.

Just wanted to get that out. {{Soft & Gentle Hugs}} to all of you.

Thank you AngelBooze, I have never seen anything at all in the area I live in. I am so sorry that it was such a disappointment.

I have a suggestion for everyone here. I sent a copy of the flyer Pam made, to friends out of state and asked them to print out and post around their areas. Does not hurt to ask people you know from other groups or anyone that does not think you are crazy, LOL. woohoo:

the date is going to be here very soon. I am about to do a second round of emails. So, if you have not started, do so soon. We only have a few days left. Maybe we can start working on next year.:

Gosh a Fibro Group that doesn't even know the right date!! Sounds like it's not a well organized group. So sorry you have such a disappointment.

I read online about a local group here, and I called the contact person and was told they haven't had meetings in YEARS. I thought to myself, then take your info offline!

I'll be putting up more fliers too. I have some of those 'free' business cards coming from a printer I like to use. Always get free stuff. I'm going to put themm around in paces that only allow cards no fliers. I'll keep putting them around year round to let people know they have a place to go for info and support! Here is the link if anyone wants it, they do more than cards: http://www.vistaprint.com/frf?frf=936516665896

Hope everyone has a beautiful day!

I wish tons of love and hugs!

I also checked into Fibro Support Groups in this area, besides that one, also but there are none at all. Also The reporter from the newspaper called yesterday and wanted to let me know that it will be in this weeks paper, which is Thursday. So I am going to stop and get a paper on my way home from all of those doc.s appt. I have Thursday. I am not so sure how to feel about that day. Anyway, in that article is my phone number and other information so that if anyone wanted to get ahold of me or this group they can. I will also go back to sending emails and make some more phone calls. I am going to call a few of the radio stations in this area to see if they will just mention is a few times on the radio that day. I hope so!!

Rita, just feel positive you are the first step to making a difference. you'll be fine. What is the name of the Newspaper that it will be printed in? Some of the newspapers are on line now. I checked in my area and no Fibro support groups here either.

Super soft fibro hugs.

Talk soon, time is drawing nigh, I'll tell you my other recent connections when I return.

Many hugs and much love to all!

Just walking out the door, thought I'd look one more time, glad I did, How AWESOME!!!!

May I be so bold as to ask if you could forward me a copy of the proclamation? I'd LOVE to have it and if you would allow me permission, I would like to put it on my website (www.invisableillness.com) and give you credit for supplying the copy of course, plus hang it here in my office. That is just souch good news!

Thanks for letting us know. Is that just for your State, or is that Nation wide?

Hugs

Janilee, The name of the newspaper is Wahoo Telegram but it is a small town paper so it is not on the computer. I did agree to have my phone number listed so if anyone needs/wants to talk about Fibro then they can call me. I just hope I can get enough notice for this area. It takes one small step at a time and here is our first small step.

I want to CONGRATULATE all of you that has been helping to get the word out and also to Thank all of you for getting the word out.

{{Soft & Gentle Hugs}} to all of you
