Oh for pity's sake...i deserve a Coke and a smile today.

I went for my Monthly "deep tissue" massage yesterday.

The only thing: i was 7 mos. late"

Blanca said "i have never seen you like this before ~all rocks!" so the 4'8 woman MACHINE went to work...i felt ok yesterday afterwards..today? Perhaps i'll go give myself a salute in the mirror insteae IF I can lift my arm without alarming the neighbors. (big lungs and YEEEOUTCH)

(my rheumatologist knows i go...never EVER do this my Friends without asking your Dr. it hurts and you can be hurt it not a mamby pamby massage with aromatherapy and each time you whence they move on...this is BREATHE like your having a baby...but when you leave..you don't take no baby home)

SIGH..im such a whiner..

Charmplace,

You need a hug , gentle of course, after that! I would not have the courage to have a deep tissue massage because of the pain. You go girl!

Hey charmplace! You do deserve a coke today! I would give you a hug too, but I don't think you could take it right now - maybe really {{{{soft}}}}. I had a woman do a very limited deep tissue massage on me and it about killed me for over a week afterwards. It took a full two weeks to get back to the lower pain levels I had been in. I could not tell that it helped me overall. I do not mind enduring some extra pain if it helps in the end. She and I both decided that I could not endure that again. My doctor sent me to this person for therapy, and told them ahead of time how sensitive I was. But, I was having a better day that day, so she decided she was going to do a little deep tissue work. BAD idea! Does it help you overall? You say you usually go monthly. Can you tell a difference long term? There is just no way I could handle that again any time soon.

I hope your pain goes away quickly and you are able to move again!!

Sounds like now you need a whirlpool!

Hang in there. MANY gentle hugs to you.

Oh my! Maybe I better cancel the therapuetic massage appt I made for tomorrow. A new place just opened near me and they are offering an hour massage for $25. She asked if I had any problems and I told her I had Fibro and she said this would be good for me. Then she asked if I had HBP or diabetes and I said no and she also asked for my doctor's phone #. I am assuming she wanted this so she could call the dr and ask of a massage would be all right for me.....maybe I'll be hitting the whirlpool when I get home, lol.
