I was wondering if all Fibro sufferers have severe stiffness, pain, numbness, and tingling in their hands...that radiates up their arms?

Hi JL-

I don't always have severe swelling or stiffness in my hands. For me, that mostly happens in the summer time. What I pretty much always experience is the severe aching and cramping in my hands. My arms, both lower and upper hurt too.

JL ,

I have the pain and stiffness in my hands and all up to my shoulders. Also all over in every place possible. Even with taking Mobic an anti inflammatory, I still have it.

For me stiffness always comes before the pain. I usually have stiffness in my upper back and shoulders. When it is bad my arms become stiff and feel numb.

I can get numbness and tingling in a number of places- my entire legs and on my face and head. Either my nose goes numb and hurts or other days the right side of my head goes numb. Oh- I have the electric shocks mostly in my legs- mostly everyday.

Hey JL,

Yes, I too have the stiffness, the numbing and tingling in my arms and hands and very much so in my legs. I take 2400 mg of Neurontin a day and still have it. Its been really bad the last couple of days because the weather here in Indiana has been so screwy. Last weekend it was in the high 60's and beautiful. This weekend it is only going to get up to 40 and we are suppose to get light snow.

When the world says give up, hope whispers give it one more try... unknown

My fingers do seem to get very stiff to the point that I cant grasp tightly anymore. I haven't noticed any swelling but I dont really pay attention. The pain starts in my fingers and radiates into my forearm usually.
