Janilee, Thats a great saying, I love hearing anything positive, even tho theres days not one single thing feels positive. I am happy you got your room done and for reminding me about Fathers Day! Kaze

Awhile back I found this poem that I really liked. I kinda revamped it to fit 'me' and then sent it to some of my friends. I hope that you'll enjoy it too.

LIVING WITH FM

I’m not normal, I’d think in my head,

I used to think; I’d be better off dead.

My life has been taken, away from me,

It’s so unfair, no reason that I can see.

I’ve been a good person, all of my life,

I feel I’ve been stabbed, with a sharp knife.

I’d shout and scream, then cry some more,

Hands over face, in a ball on the floor.

All of this aching, all of these harsh pains,

Pulled muscles, lots of strains and sprains.

My joints are stiff, and unbearable to use,

Someone touches me, I go blotchy and bruise.

My shoulders hurt, can’t raise them in the air,

They're so sensitive, someone’s touch I can’t bear.

I struggle to walk, as my legs are giving way,

Tingling and burning, shooting pains when I lay.

Swollen hands and fingers, cramp and they lock,

The constant sharp pain, I always try to block.

Tired and worn out, my feet sink in the ground,

My body’s a struggle, for me to drag around.

Headaches and Migraines, are not of a few,

Poor concentration, and a bad memory too.

People haven’t heard, of what I have got,

Vacant expressions, they’re like er… What?

This is what I hate, when I have to explain,

`Cos I get so upset, when I talk of the pain.

No idea they have, because I look so well,

What my life is like, it can be a living hell.

Thing after thing, I am not able to do,

Working and driving, are sometimes just of a few.

Learning to accept, to cope and to face,

My life as it is now, at it’s own slow pace.

Wow fibroforever, that certainly describes me!! I need to send this to some family members. Maybe they would read it in this format...a poem. I can't get anyone interested in reading anything else. Thanks for sharing!! Red

I'm crying now, but I liked it.

Thank you for sharing it with us! I'm going to write that down as soon as my hands don't hurt to much to write.

That is fantastic and true to the source.

I sponsored a Navajo Child thru school. I met him when he was 8 years old. He's now going on 23 and is in College. He recently told me a saying that his mother used to tell him when he was a child. It goes. "You have to lift your head and push forward everyday, no matter how dark life is because time doesn't stop." I read that for the first time the other day in an email he sent to me and I thought, how true. So I decided no matter how bad things got, I am going to fight it, I'm going to push forward, I am not going to waste my life in self pity because time doesn't stop.

May your troubles be less,
Your blessing be more,
And nothing but happiness come through your door!
