You're Stronger Than You Think

If the strongest tree can bow and bend

From winds that hurried by

We cannot fee that we are weak

If we break down and cry

Somehow the tree gets stronger

As the sun shines once again

And so are we from tears we've cried

Remember that my friend[/b]

This is a poem by Elaine Hall.

Here is her website so you can see all the others she's written.

May your troubles be less,
Your blessing be more,
And nothing but happiness come through your door!

Janilee, this is a poem I wrote, some have seen it so sorry for the double up

Apparition of an illness,

Microscopic, Invisible,

Dressed in deceptive covering,

Uncomprehensive to ones own flesh and blood.

Bearing with it,

An echo of sounds,

A low cry, murmer, sob, thunder,

Then back to a low cry.

Its mission as a messenger,

Is to systematize the mind and body,

Causing universal suffering,

With deprivation of a deep slumber.

Extended in space,

With intentions of debilitation,

Thereupon one collapsing,

Into its ghostly arms.

Then swiftly,

It asends heavenward,

From your fallible frame,

And liberates itself into the breeze.

You hear silence, feel stillness,

You simply have a reprive,

Replenishing you with heart,

To carry on...

Kaze 08

Its not as uplifting as the other one but it was how I was feeling that day

Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

That's wonderful that you can express your feelings like that in a poem. I often wanted to but I'm not talented in that way. Keep up the good work.
May your troubles be less,
Your blessing be more,
And nothing but happiness come through your door!

This isn't a poem but a saying of a very wise, and patient mother.

I started sponsoring a Navajo child from Chinle, AZ when he was 8 years old. He's now 22 years old and is in College doing very well. Every time he did something wrong or was in the dumps, his mother would say to him:

"you have to lift your head and push forward everyday, no matter how dark life is because time doesn't stop."

A saying that is as simple as that can be so useful and inspiring. I was just awestruck when he told that to me. It's something to live by.

Today I cleaned the front room. Took the curtains off the window and washed them. Washed the window, it's a huge picture window, dusted,

and fell asleep for about 3 hrs. Now I have to sweep the floor and that room will be presentable for the fathers day get together at our house in June. Tomorrow I'll probably be so sore I won't be able to get out of bed.

May your troubles be less,
Your blessing be more,
And nothing but happiness come through your door!
