"Because I have fibromyalgia" (tctaycun)

MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunny_fly)

Yes, I am about as far south as you can go. About an hour from Key West where my doctor is. When we went to Arkansas last week to see my mom, I was actually feeling better. I walked all over Walmart with my son and it didn't bother me a bit.

Arkansas is where I started getting sick. I thought if we moved to Florida where it is warmer year 'round I'd feel better. My husband grew up here and we thought it would be great. Silly me.

Jeerie,

Some Rx's can't be called in. Certain meds require that the original prescription be in the hand of the pharmacist. I have two like that.

The meds I need are controlled substances and must be hand written prescriptions taken to the pharmacy. They can't be faxed or called in but I have to believe they can be mailed since others have had luck with that and 2 pain clinics tell me they can be mailed...

I'm crossing my fingers for the outing and that something won't prevent me from going.

Ohhhh! Pardon my French, but that just sucks!! I have never even realized that every time I get my percocet refilled I have a script because I was just at the dr's office. Silly me!! My brain is totally broken today...can't type, keep correcting misspelled words, brain fog like you wouldn't believe! I guess my brain fog is now spreading the joy with all of you with my silly questions.

lol I agree. It does suck. One of mine is percocet too and they give me a big bottle so I don't need to refill so often. Oh, and don't worry about the typing. You can't imagine how many times I have to backspace and correct--and I write for a living! lol

I forgot all about HIPPA. Everytime I go to the dr, I have to sign the form. I get to agitated about signing a new form. We have a spa here but it is leaking so I can't use it. I'm going to start bugging my son to fix it so I can do some exercises in it and enjoy the heat. We get some very cold winters here (black ice in January even) so I want to get the benefits as much as I can before that happens. It sounds so odd to hear you talking about a salty river, Midnyte.

Kat, I feel your frustration! I still hold on tight to my "English teacher self", the one who feels like someone is clawing at a chalkboard (EEEKKK...makes my blood run cold just thinking about it!) when I hear incorrect grammar or see terrible spelling! It reminds me of the days when I had to then plan a grammar refresher for the kids! I know not everyone is up on grammar or spelling, but when you've trained your eye to pick up on all the errors...well, let's just say it can't be choosy about the ones it picks up on!

It was quite a shock for me to learn there were salt water rivers. *lol* It seperates us from Merrit Island where NASA is located. I've not managed to get to see the launches or anything yet and look forward to those scheduled for Oct. even if not "major" ones.

In the past several years I have lived in 4 states and after living in 1 most of my life, it's been kinda difficult adjusting to the different climates. I have also found myself picking up different slang and things... sure makes it hard to remember proper grammar and word usage sometimes. I usually catch my mistakes a few days after I post and everyone has read them.

I found the answer! It is called nin shyn jitusu. It really works!

If there is any curiousity, let me know. I am now off ALL pain killers, and am on muscle relaxers and cymbalta.

It actually does take pain away.
