MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

Hey just curious how many of you have pets, I ask due to the reason my one cat..seems to know when my fibro is at its worst..when I l ay down she is right there with me, it is sooo odd.

Oh as for pets I have 2 birds, two cats..and thinking of getting a ferret..so he can wrap around me neck and arms when my fibro flares..W00t

I'm an Advocate

One spoiled rotten cat. We sometimes call Squeaky Dr. Kitty, because he does seem to know when we're not feeling well and gets cuddly.

I have a cat baby, Tootsie, and a grand doggy, Montana. Pics in profile . The wolf is a nephew??? I guess.

I had a lab rat that I was babysitting when my friend went on vacation. Her name was Gretta. She was just a joy to have around. I'd let her run free in the house and she had the best time. Then one day she got sick. Her eyes were raw and she didn't jump up and down when I walked in the door from work. I took her to the Vet and he said she was dying. He said that lab rats only live about three years. I was just heart broken. I took her over to my sisters house and we had a little funeral and put a little angel as her headstone.

I will introduce you to my babies. Pretty, 11 years old, beautiful light colors of grey and a splash of yellow on white. Small and gentle. When she is in my lap and I am rubbing her, she lifts her paw and touches my face. Next is Biff. He is 10 years old, a black (with grey) fat teacup poodle. He lets me hold him like a baby and when he is in deep sleep his little pink tongue pokes out. He is the boss. Next is Odie. Ten years old, black and white chiuauhha (?), Little Odie is on the nervous side and will scream like a girl if something scares him. Last but not least is Binz. Three years old, huge, and I mean huge solid black cat. Binz is sooo big that I don't have to lean over much to rub him. He will stand on his back legs for me to carass him. These are my babies and I love them all. Hugs
