Wow, what a tough night. I sat here yawning, barely able to keep my eyes open so I went to bed...it was around 10pm. Had to get up early (6am) so the carpenters could plug in the compressor (outlets are all inside).

So I laid there...I could feel my shoulders starting to revolt against the gravel raking I did in the morning (gravel delivered Wed for driveway). Okay, relax them...breathing exercises. Feet start burning .. wha? why are my feet burning so bad? Ok, focus on shoulders...burning now going up my legs. Phone rings...THANK GOD

Got up, talked to my best friend for about an hour...came online for a bit, chatted with a very good Fibro friend who was having a HORRIBLE day...tried my best to make her feel better but don't know if I did any good.

Ok, back to bed...yes feet, I know you hurt....gotta relax my shoulders so I don't clench myself into a flare. Get the biofreeze on, lay down and drift off. its after 2...not sure about the time cuz I don't wanna turn my head to see the clock.

WOOF lick lick lick lick lick lick lick OK OK OK Tucker...I'm up...look at the clock..6:18...UGH I have to get up and get the dogs settled before the guys show up. Let everybody out, feed cats, make coffee, brush teeth, take pills...get dressed....first shirt, itchy itchy..second..still itchy...get something just washed...REALLY ITCHY. I finally found an old tank...worn fabric, softest thing I own. It still feels like a thousand needles are sewn into it and poking my shoulders.

So much for avoiding a flare...went out to water...could barely pick up the water hose....carpenter had to help me pull it out to the street where I planted a tree on Wednesday. He also had to pull it back up the driveway for me. Embarassing, he's my age and jumping around on the roof building this beautiful cover for my porch.

Took a norco..not helping the poking yet...but feet are feeling better! Realized that as much as I want to, I can't do any big projects today. So, I'm going to work on my Elvis wall that has been sitting here waiting for me to finish.

So, moral of the story? Yeah, I had a rough night...I'm having alot of pain and very uncomfortable BUT I can do something today, no matter how small. Then I can have a nap!!! Wink

Sometimes, we just overdo it and have to back up a step. Yes, and thank you for the chatting last night, it helped! I think I really needed a friend to just vent to for a while.

Hope you get to feeling better!

I hate that your fibro is making your skin so sensitive. I thought at first you were probably talking about the poison ivy bugging you, but your'e talking about the skin itself being hypersensitive aren't you?

I wish I knew what to tell you to try. Cool shower maybe? Lotion? Get that sexy hunk of carpenter to rub some lotion on your back? lol

I just can't imagine my skin hurting so bad that every thing I tried to wear felt like it was made from either insulation (fiberglass) or that your skin was on fire. YUCK!

I'm an Advocate

I understand sensitive skin. I use to have to do laundry at a house that I use to babysit when I was living on campus in college. Every time I went to do laundry in the public laundry room my skin would break out. I really hope you feel better. If you want something to help keep your mind busy, I started movie quotation game.
Looking for my new normal!

I'm with Mo, the skin stuff sound bad. i just started itching all over again, and it makes me nutty. it's 9:40 PM, and I've been awake since midnight last night. Ready to sleep, but I'll get Up and see if it stops. maybe I'll order a small dosage magnesium, and space that out every eight hours. if it helps I'll tell you.

Dana,

Sorry you had such a rough nite, and day today. Hope you get to feeling better tomorrow. I agree, have that construction guy rub lotion on you...I bet he would!!

I know what you mean by itchy clothes. I had to give away a bunch of shirts cuz when i put them on, they actually felt like they were scratching my skin. I pretty much wear light cotton oversized shirts. My skin is being very sensative too. My back was itching, and it hurt so bad to scratch it, even lightly and carefully. This really sucks, huh? Don't forget to swing those hips a bit when you go outside tomorrow, the guys will be watching..LOL HUGS

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Unfortunately, she told me earlier they're all done and won't be back! She missed her chance. Tongue

thanks ya'll...I tried to go to bed but the sheets hurt. My shoulders feel like they are eating my neck and everything else just burns. Got more meds in me, will give it 30 mins and try again.

Good and bad news...the carpenters are gone...but the awning is finished! It's really wonderful to have a covered porch and the kitties are thrilled. Eye candy is fine but honestly, I have someone I've very fond of who lives out of state.

Special thanks to Mo who listened to me whine on chat all night...

I was feeling so much better today I got out and planted 6 baby trees that I had ordered off of ebay. Now I see I should have planted 3 today and 3 tomorrow cuz I think I hurt myself! I used too many spoons!!!! I just took another pain pill so my posts may sound a little crazy today...well, a little crazier than my normal

HUGS ya'll, you guys are the best!

Dana
