With the impending winter storm about heading our way, my husband and I decided to go to the grocery store early this morning since we usually go on Sunday afternoons. I got in the shower and did this not once but TWICE I reached down to turn down the cold water and turned it up full blast. The first time I yelled and my husband who was brushing his teeth started laughing. The second time, not only did I yell, I jumped out of the shower and then did a stupid thing and looked at him and said did you do that? I don't know why I asked him that, I knew I did it, it just came out. This time I thought he was going to fall on the floor laughing. I was plenty awake by then and did not touch the water again. I have not idea what my problem was, we have lived here for 6 years, and I usually take showers (I promise) and I usually fix them myself. It was so funny though I though I was going to fall out laughing myself.

I guess it's better than turning the hot water up and boiling yourself (but not much)!

LOL I know that one well! We have hair trigger faucets I tell ya, it's too cold, turn it a faction of a fraction of an inch and you scald your butt, turn it back and you have frost bite, there is no winning! I can't say I have ever "jumped out" tho, I'm surprised your hubby didn't swallow his toothbrush!
Love,
Casty

Nothing like a blast of cold water to wake you up.Laughing

Don't worry, I've done the same thing myself. Just not twice in a row.Laughing

COuldn't help but laugh on this one. I'm with Casty on the hair trigger things to control the temp we have them too. Good thing yours was the cold water and not the hot. When that happens to me, (I blame it on the cat) I just yell.

Poor bc. Don't be so concerned about water conservation- let the shower run and get it to the right temp before crawling in. We have fibro and Al Gore and will forgive us.
