Everytime i go into my diary i get a virus attack on my computer, luckily i have Norton so its not harming anything but i just wondered whether anyone else is getting the same? And if so, what can we do about it?
"When things go wrong and they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but dont you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
Its when things go wrong when you mustn't quit"

Morning, Emma. I was just in the diaries (checking to see what they are about) and didn't have a problem. What message are you getting? Forums like these don't carry computer viruses but you could very well have gotten infected elsewhere. You might try running Malwarebytes. It was very effective in cleaning my husband's computer. Here's the download link. It's free.

Yes, it sounds like you got something. Hopefully, Malwarebytes will get rid of it. Forgive me for not clicking your website address, lol. I'm chicken! Blink

I'm an Advocate

Good morning, All ...

My computer has been acting a tad odd for the past week or so but I just kept thinking it s my server. However, in talking to several people at work, there definitely IS a NASTY virus out there . Many said their computers had it and one that had taken her unit to the repair shop said the guy there said it was ""the nastiest one"" he has seen in a long time. (Thank goodness, she and I don t e-mail back and forth.)

Right now, I have a rather quirky thing with my computer (re:this particular site). I will go hours and get no e-mail notifications that there are new posts. Then, all of a sudden , I look and I have 200+ or so. It s like they pile up somewhere and dump out all at once. Crazy ....

I have something similar going on Auntie, plus duplicates of the emails. As for the viruses, there are 2 going around that can destroy your C drive. I posted about them in the Internet beware portion that Cori started. To read all about them, go to www.snopes.com and search for computer viruses. I use that and then verify with the different virus program alerts recommended. Hasn't failed me yet.

I thought it was the Full Moon Gremlins again. Several times I tried to post and it didn't go through and twice I tried to write in diary yesterday and it got lost somewhere out there in space.....
