I am just curious because of my own insecurities. Have any of you met someone after your diagnosis of fibro and have they accepted you? I am scared of letting go of someone that tolerates my illness even though I am pretty self sufficient still. *knock on wood* I would be so scared to tell someone new for fear that they would be overwhelmed by the symptoms. Unsure I know that it is kind of a silly question and there are good people out there but just would like to hear some stories to boost my outlook. Blush

Yeah, it takes the right person. He understands. I have to tell him if something is bothering me that day, but other than that he is great.

Hey Cori, I probably should ask my hubby for his opinion on this however, as much as fibro sucks, don't stay with someone because he"tolerates it". You deserve so much better then that. You are beautiful and sensative and smart. I know this from your picture, how well you help others and the way you talksounds like you are an intelligent woman. So don't settle for "tollerate". Find your amazing partner somewhere out there. Hugs, Jenn
I just want to let you all know that I am just like you, a regular person. I am not a doctor or a therapist, but I do promise to be there and listen as often as I can.
Hugs and Peace,
Jenn

Jenn....THANK YOU!

It's not just me, Cori. You really do deserve so much better. Never settle for anything in life. Always reach for what (and whom) you deserve.

Never settle for less! Yes, I met my SO after being dx'd and yes, we've had our ups and downs like any couple. I've never had anyone understand my issues and scold me for overdoing instead of not doing more. You really do deserve someone that will understand and not "tolerate" your pain and other ailments. Like another said, you're too young, smart, considerate, and beautiful inside and out to settle for less.

How I wish I had listened to my own advice years ago!!!
