Fibromyalgia Support Group

This is kind of random, but the weirdest thing has happened since I got FM. I used to be soooo ticklish - all you had to do is touch me and I'd collapse giggling. My husband wasn't ticklish AT ALL, which frustrated me to no end. But now, after I got this insane disease, I'm suddenly not ticklish, and my husband is. Isn't that the strangest thing ever? I love it! I feel so undefeatable now!

It was a huge relief for me also. Unfortunately, I have a couple of spots that are now sensitive in another odd way that causes pain. I.E. the bottom of my feet, it sends pain up my legs if someone tries to tickle my feet or "poke" me in the sides where I was very ticklish. Do you notice any of this now?

I have a rib that is incredibly sensitive! It never bothered me before, but now it does. And of course, it's right there where you poke someone randomly. BUT that's one little place that I can protect, and the rest of me is unstoppable! I love not being ticklish! (I'm having a nearly pain free day, if you can't tell. I feel on top of the world for a change! Wahoo!)

I noticed that too. Where I used to get tickled now hurts. (rib pain)

I don't know about the feet cause I have never been able to stand anyone touching my feet. I hate socks, I hate shoes. Anything that covers up my feet I hate.

Whoa....soo weird! I used to be very ticklish myself but not anymore! And, my ribs hurt as well...but I have one that is extremely sensitive and it would be the one where one would automatically grab to tickle.

How strange! I'm soo glad everyone shares stuff like this. Now I know I'm not the only one!

Isn't it awesome not to be ticklish anymore? I love it. I feel so powerful. But it's so strange that it's the same for all of us! Same rib and everything...

WHICH rib is it???

Mine is on my right side...bottom rib...just a little to the front of my side!

Sounds almost the identical spot as mine, except mine covers 2 or 3 ribs depending on how I feel that day and how many flares recently.

My feet have began going colder than before and my legs have had more attacks of some freaky spasms/pain and numbness, then they want to become huge strings of spagetti. My SO tried to tickle my foot this past weekend and I thought I would scream from the odd burning pain... then the legs started. Luckily it doesn't last that long. Anyone else have this?

My feet are okay. They used to be incredibly ticklish and now they aren't but they don't hurt yet. Of course, I wear slippers all day, so that might be why . My rib is on my left side, 2nd to bottom, toward the front.

All my ribs hurt especially the ones that gets squished by a bra.
