MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

yes i have a regular schedule of clients i see on certain days a week . some i had for years like 2 years and now the ones i have now i have had for one year with one and 6 months with another and the 2 others i have are new by a couple of months . unless you become hosptialized againa for a long period of time then you will still have that aide when you get out . If my clients go in and are there for a while then i have to move to new clients as i am not getting paid unless i am there you know .

Thanks for letting us know, Diane. When I was being interviewed by my SSD attorney, she mentioned at one point "So, you could use help", to which I replied "It sure would be helpful".

I wasn't sure if it was just nursing, which I don't feel I need, or if was like you say...light housekeeping and errands. That's where I need the most help, really.

yeah a nurse does come and supervise us aides and all but unless you need a nurse for debatic shots or blood draws or nursing care they are not going to come . it will be just the aide that does. she will come to do an intake and get the aide accqauinted on the first day with the care plan which we go by . In that it states what is to be done everyday when we arrive at your house

Good to know, thank you. I don't feel like I need someone everyday, but it's those days when I get up and within four hours, all I've managed to do is feed my dogs and clean my catboxes. Sad thing is, I can't predict those days.

yeah with medacaid it is easy to get because that is all that really pays for that . som private insurances do but rarely . if you have trouble getting and aide or ins to pay get a doc to help you write a note or a refferal . usually during a hosptial stay the nurse will do that as part of the discharge set to up with socail services that deals with that .
