I had have an MRI done the summer of '07, for my head, to see if had any abnormalies due to the migraines. So you can imagine my luck, since had not had one before, the noise, laying there thanking please do not let me get a migraine. And then the tech told me NOT to move because might have to redo if I did. My nose itched so bad, I finally had to scratch it, thought oh do not let me have to have this thing done again. Needless to say the red dye made me very sick at my stomach, then had mild migraine start by the time got in the car.

I can also tell you the time broke my left pinky toe twice within six months, this after had hair lined fractured my left ankle, oh that is a good one also. Let me start with my ankle, the weekend after 9/11, we where in our yard walking into the house, I tripped over myself (yes you read that right), felt and hard my ankle pop, rolled up into a ball, at that time my husband had no idea how bad I was hurt. He about let go of the dog leash, laughed so hard he was crying, he takes the dogs in. Comes right back out, says "Your going to have to get up". I am crying by then, say in a very weak girly voice "I am not getting up. Your going to have to help me". He tired to help me up, I was too scared to pull myself up. He said "Your going have to help me a little, I know your hurting". I told him to just leave me there, let me freeze. He walked in the house, stayed inside for about five minutes, came back out, said "You want to go in". I yelled "YES, said a few cuss words, we got me inside. I refused to go the ER, cause it was the weekend, keep tell myself it would be ok. Thou it was swelled, bruising, had multicolored streaks in my ankle and foot. I went to the doctor on Monday, wore a boot for about six weeks. About three months later, I was coming out of our bathroom, Ted was standing in front of the dresser, came around the corner, someone smacked my left foot into his steel toed boot, left pinky toe popped, here I was out of the shower with towel only, feel to the floor, said every cuss word could manage. For about two months taped my pinky toe to the one beside it. Well three months after broke the pinky toe, I was up in the middle of the night, thought hard a noise got up to see what it was, ran into our coffee table and broke the left pinky toe again. That time went to the doctor but they can not do much for broken toes, he taped my toes together, gave me pres. for pain meds, then Ted laughed at me all the way home, I cried, so he took me to Dairy Queen got me some ice cream. Needless to say I am clumisy have some interesting stories.

OMG, you poor thing! I can just picture it all, too.

Um....have you asked Santa for some steel-toed boots of your own?

Sorry...couldn't resist. It's so nice that we can look back on things like this and get a chuckle out of them. Thank goodness for humor!

you girls are so funny! at least we can find the humor, right?

want to hear what stupid thing i did?

I was making dinner for the family, a roast chicken. Well, you know how you take the chicken out of the wrapper, drain it, then put it right side up in the pan, well i did all of that except for the last step. I ended up putting it in upside down!

SO, here i am, stabbing liitle holes to put garlic in the wrong side of the chicken! no wonder i found it harder to do. Then i start seasoning it, still unaware. Theni put it in the oven.

a couple hours later my dad take sit out of th eoven for me, and i'm upstairs, and all of a sudden i hear from my dad " NIkki....never in my life."

so it was seaosned, and it was browned on the bottom! It still tasted pretty good, ish lol..it was moist, just no flavor.

my dad thought it was hysterical. so did my mom. they say they are going to tell this to my husband before i marry him. lol.

i still can't believe i did that!

Starr, you poor thing! YOu ARE lucky...if you had been to my local Walmart you wouldn't have gotten that wonderful service! The customer service out ours sucks!

I hate even exam tables these days. Just laying on them for a few minutes kills my back. It feels SSSSOOoo hard! CAn't believe how hard it feels and how bad it hurts.

My fog worried me the other night...went out to check the stove like I always do before I go to bed on the nights I cook (can anyone say a tad OCD?!?) and I saw that I had left a burner on! I have an electric stove and nothing was sitting on it so it would have taken awhile for something to really happen, but I also have a "crazy" cat who just might have chosen that night to jump up there and burn her little paws! That moment I saw it on really frightened me! I will never feel bad about my minor OCD tendencies again!

Nicole do not feel bad, I have done some weird things with fibro fog, sometimes will ask the same question a dozen times. I know people are thinking "what drugs are you on?". HA!

Jeerie I have went back so many times to see if something was turned on/off, doors locked, keys in my purse, if forgot to do laundry, make sure I did put in the dryer. Once I came inside, with Bailey, forgot that Haley was in the yard still. She started barking at the door, I felt so bad!

I was going to use glass cleaner on the tv, there I stood in the living room, with paper towels, glass cleaner, wondering what the heck I was doing. Then my husband asked if I "forgot something again", I started laughing.

Starr, I'm lol about drinking everything with a straw! I do that too! I grab extra straws from everywhere and keep them in my purse, car and all over in the house. I'd rather be thirsty than to have to drink without a straw!

I've done many fibro fog funnies. None come to mind right now (the damn fog!) but once it clears I'll post a few chuckles.

Okay Kristie, here's a laugh for you.

Black is sort of my signature color. It's my favorite color onstage, my favorite party color, it's naturally slimming, and it shows off diamonds really well.

Well, when I lived in Australia, I was constantly served drinks and coffees with black straws. I just loved them. After a bit of charming, I finally convinced one restaurant owner to order me a case each of long straws and coctail straws, in black.

Wow....having no real conception of how many straws came in a case, I was, um, well-stocked. I have been using my straws daily for five years now, and still think I may have a lifetime supply of them in storage boxes in my shed. Call me nuts, but I LOVE my black straws!
