 A friend of mine started calling me Star years ago. I am an actress/singer/model. When I was going to set up my own business as a freelance talent, I started with my website. All the names with Star were already taken, but Starr wasn't. So since then I've been Starr. And stars, of course have become sort of my trademark.

All of my user names online have Starr in them somewhere and my email address has Starr in it too, of course.

I can't get the prestige license plate I want here in Texas cause someone already has it, so I display the license plate I had in Australia in my back window. It says Starr Car.

Plus in the theatres, people have fun with it saying that I am the Starr, but not a Diva. (In my industry, a diva is not a good thing).

 Honey started calling me his Cornbread after he heard it on a show. I don't recall what show, but it was a couple in the South- African American- the woman was a big girl and he was this skinny guy. Someone asked why he loved her so much and he said (in that great Southern 'hood accent) "I just do. That's my Cornbread right there." In the South, cornbread will make or break a meal. To him, she had made him a better man. He's called me Cornbread ever since. I love Southern men.
