"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

Pets bring such joy into our lives and offer comfort when we are down. They can also be highly entertaining and amusing...I know that a lot of cats on this forum --and they are a part of our group! -- love to lay on top of the keyboard or computer desk/table to keep mom or dad company, and some like to bat at the screen. Someone else posted a story about a himalayan cat who learned not only to poop in the toilet just by watching young children learning to do it...but also to be a wonderful baby sitter for these same children, alerting mom when they are in trouble. I have a cat who can turn on the faucet in the bathtub and drink from the spray of water as it flows from the tap, after playing with it for awhile.

Dogs do all kinds of cool things...just wondered if anyone would be willing to share some of the amazing things their pets do?!

My good cat Rex is a water freak. Everytime I turn on a faucet he is right there trying to get his head under it.

He also won't drink water out of a bowl. Seriously, it has to be a cup and because of that, no cup in the house is safe.

I adopted him from the animal shelter a few years ago. He was around 2yrs then. Must have been something he learned in a past life.

My English Pit Rachel, will pickup the cordless phone and bring it to you if it rings too long. She's only 3 years old so it can't be old age, maybe it's because of so many teens in the house. She just recently started doing this, I guess the ringing annoys her.

May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

ahhhhhh, that is so cute! Smart dog! I wish I had a pet that would fetch the cordless phone for me...I usually can't remember where I left it, so when it rings, I have to listen carefully to be sure of what room the ringing is coming from, and by the time I find that out, the caller has hung up. I am always misplacing the cordless phone, my cell phone, and my car keys. I have to call my cell phone from my cordless phone to locate it, and I had to locate my cordless phone by paging it from the base. No hope for the car keys though..I need a dog who can smell my car keys from anywhere in the house, then root through the pile of clothes they landed in, and bring them to mama...or maybe there is a clapper for car keys?

My beloved Jett, a dauschaund/pomeranian mix, is a great heating pad when I'm in pain for starters. He seems to locate the exact spot and lay as close to me as possible.

He also loves pet bacon and a brand of toothbrushes and knows wherever I hide them and will sit near me (when I say sit, I mean on his hindlegs with his front paws crossed or moving as to say pleaseeeee, mommy!!!!) and tilt his head in the direction of the treats. He has actually went to the hiding spot and nudged it after getting my attention.

He also has a few toys he loves dearly. One is a rubber stick that squeeks. He loves to play tug of war with it and will pull harder as the stick squeeks more.

He has suddenly became my guard when I go to the bathroom. He will knock on the door with his nose until I can't stand it anymore and let him in, then he jumps onto my lap and onto the nearest ledge where he investigates. Usually he gives his indications he wants a bath... something he loves until it's time to dry him off.

I must say that it's hard for me to describe his antics with justice. He develops and stops his antics rapidly. He has really made life with fibro easier to deal with whether he is curled up to my painful spots or doing his best to make me laugh.

My two Shih Tzu are incredible. They seem to know exactly where I (or hubby) are hurting and they either lay on that affected area or lick it. They know I shouldnt stay up late, and at almost exactly 8:30 pm EVERY night, they start barking at me and running towards the steps to go to bed. Plus if the phone is ringing and I dont hear it, they will come to get me and direct me to where it is (me too, never can find cordless phone or cell phone when I want it). Once, when I passed out, I woke up to them licking me and pawing me to wake up and barking. I finally came to, I actually had to call 911 that day, I was in heart block. Anyway, they are fantastic. They know how to shake hands, so cute. And they always greet us at the door. Always.

I have a cat but the cuteness comes from my grand doggy. My stepson just recently got him and he's about 9 weeks old now. I got him one of those wiener dog stuffed toys to play with and he loves it. We'll throw it way out into the yard and he'll run like crazy after it bend his head down to get it on the run and go a tumble sault right over it.

I thought it was just a fluke but he does it every time. If you throw something he does a tumble sault over it first.

He's the cutest thing. He's a blue heeler.

May your troubles be less, Your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door!
