MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Anyone have any fun tattoos or piercings? I have a tribal piece on my right upper arm, a heart with Nathan in it over my heart and a long one down the side of my left thigh. It's 13 (my lucky number) rings with the sun in the middle ring. It's pink and purple. I love that one but boy it hurt!

I have had my eyebrow pierced twice- it grew out both times, I have my nose and lip pierced, but haven't had lip jewelry in a month or so since the front jewel part came loose and fell somewhere in JCPenney. I can't afford a new one right now

I've also had several holes in my ears but haven't worn earrings in ages. Still have my nose ring, though. It's my favorite.

Anyone else wanna share? My next pieces are going to be a purple ribbon on my left ankle and a cross, but not sure where that will be yet. I have plans to someday get others, but they're expensive. My oldest wants to do tat work so maybe I will get them free someday!

Cornbread, I have four tats. I have the Kanji symbol for Wolf with two paw prints on my right ankle (my totem), I have three roses and my Mom on my lower left back (her memorial since she passed of breast cancer 9/11/02 - the roses symbolize her three daughters, I'm the oldest), a Celtic triquerta on my lower right stomach (this one tickled) and my last one is inbetween my shoulders and it's a beautiful pixie sitting on a sliver of the moon with my daughter's name at the bottom of the moon. I love my tattoo artist, he is so fricken good!! He's always done above and beyond what I ask of him.

Ok I'll fess up...I have a tat.

Down my right calf I have an Effiel Tower with "We'll Always Have Paris 97"

In the Spring of 97 my two duaghters and I got to spend 11 days in France. We all three have the same tat.

I would love to have a tiny, tiny nose piercing, but DH says I'm too old for that kind of thing.

I have a little halloween cat on shoulder, he's very small. I want to add on to him...I'd like to perch him on a tree limb in front of a full moon. I'll probably never finish it tho 'cuz I got in so much trouble for getting him in the first place. You're not supposed to get tattooed after you lose your spleen...oops.

My only piercings are double holes in my ears but I put in one pair of sapphires months ago and haven't changed or added any earrings since, my ears are a little more sensitive than usual.

I take it you have no problems with tattoo inks. The day I got my cat, I started to itch about 6 inches north of the tattoo...it's driven me nuts ever since even while I was taking prednisone. No one can explain it, no medicine can stop the itch but now finally after 7 years the itch is starting to disappear.

If I could get another I like the idea of the purple ribbon. We could also dream up a secret handshake

I have some problems occasionally with the one on my arm. It raises and itches, but that doesn't happen often. Haven't thought to associate it with anything. I'll have to see if there's a pattern to when it happens.

Ummm....secret handshake....sure...

I'm fessing up too. I have a ladybug on my right shoulder in the back. Her name is Gertrude. She's been there for 9 years now. I'd love to get the triquetra but I'm scared now with all these rashes and stuff breaking out all over me. My stepson has a beautiful tattoo on his arm. It's two feathers tied together. He's also got a godawful one on his back. Starts at his neck and ends halfway down his waist and over to both shoulders. It started out little but then he keeps adding to it. It started out looking nice but now it just looks like someone's just adding to it with no design in mind.

I confess that I have a problem "seeing" most tattooes for what they are...if there is anything complicated to the design or if there are more than say, two colors, I just see the color or colors and not the design. I don't know if its my eyes or what. My brother has these complicated tatttooes, one of which he tells me is an eagle & a feather, but all I see is a big tangle of color.

Rayne, it sounds like you and I have the same problem. It's called color distortion according to my Ophthamologist. There are certain colors that if put in a close range of each other totally blocks out the rest. I don't go to burger king because they had a bright yellow background with black lettering on it. I can't adjust to those two colors together. Another one was light green and white with black letters. I had to read some computer stuff that was on the old green and white computer paper and I couldn't do it. I had to go back and have it printed on plain white paper. If something gets too busy, I usually get dizzy from it.

Wierd isn't it?
