Like everyone's pain is just so overwhelming? I read everyone's posts here and often sit with tears running down my face. Sometimes I don't visit here for a few days because I know it will break my heart.

Don't get me wrong. I love this place. I have visited other fibro boards and none are as wonderful as here. I feel like this board is full of some of the most kind and caring people I have ever met. And I am so thankful to have found people who truly understand some of the things I deal with from day to day.

But sometimes I just get so overwhelmed. It kills me that so many good people have to suffer like this. I can't do anything to fix it either. I often feel like I have nothing to offer because I can't help. All I can do is tell you all that I am so sorry that you suffer so much. And then sit and cry for you.

Do you ever feel like that?

Yes. That's all I can really say right now. Just yes. And I agree with the other stuff you said.

Yes, Kat, I feel the same way you do when reading some peoples' posts here. I DO say a prayer every night for everyone in the group collectively that their pain might be lessened.

Also, I sometimes feel guilty because I do not have the caliber of pain (especially nighttime) that many here write about. I did until a few months ago when Rheumy put me on Lyrica... it seems to work well for me at this point in time.

Maybe knowing that so many are suffering with so much more pain is why I feel so compelled to visit this group every single day and encourage, listen and maybe advise a bit to help ease their pain.

Sorry if none of the above made sense but ...I m hoping I got the point across ...

Take care ... Have a great afternoon ... Marilyn

Yes, Kat. I do too. I often wish that I could take on everyone's pain on top of mine and then fibro would disappear from this earth forever.

I think we all feel like that Kat. Sometimes I feel guilty because my pain is not as bad nor comes as often as some of the gals in here.

When I get to feeling like it's too overwhelming for me, I just step back and take a break.

May your troubles be less, Your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door!

I agree with everyone else--some days you just need a little break from this site because it is too painful to bear, with so much suffering that you can't directly do anything about. I think it's important to take the little mental health breaks that get our minds OFF of fibro as much as possible, by doing "normal" things just for fun and relaxation that have nothing to do with illness and pain...like watching funny movies, taking kids or grandkids to the park and watching them play, listening to music you enjoy, doing crafts or hobbies that are relaxing and creative, or getting out in nature. If I can do that for a day or two, then I can come back to reading the posts with renewed optimism and fresh energy. I guess that is not really possible for the group leaders, however, and that is what makes you guys so special to the rest of us...you are ALWAYS there for us! And with so many members on our site now, it has to be a lot of hard work and take up a lot of time. My hats are off to the group leaders!

You know, I think it would be really, really hard to be a group leader. I hadn't thought about it before until you just mentioned it. But oh my goodness, what a responsibility!

I guess I have just been feeling down anyhow, and reading how much everyone else hurts is just too much right now. But I want you all to know that I appreciate you and I wish I could make all of our suffering go away.

Thanks for understanding (as always).
